I'm a red over black person if I had to choose but personally, I celebrate the entire catalog.

I don't think I'll ever get behind the dark dog even though it looks awesome. Too much negative emotional association with becoming a human popsicle vs WMU, and the horror of the BG game.

White helmet, red jersey, white pants like in the 70s.
I love the red jerseys and black pants, but I'd love to see this.

Darker red, too. We looked similar to Alabama. It was a sharp look.

If I am not mistaken, it was very much a cardinal, which to the best of my knowledge is the actual school color, not red.

RE: Favorite Home Uniform
"NIU will don new red and black home uniforms and white road uniforms in 2014. In addition to the new threads, the Huskies will have their choice between matte black or matte white helmets and different helmet decals in 2014. Huskies players now have a variety of uniform combinations as they can wear all one color (red, black and white) or a combination of the three (three ways). The new jerseys have the letters "NIU" on the front, while the helmets use the dog head logo or new "NIU' markings. The seniors will choose the uniform combination each week."
Have the seniors always chosen the jerseys? Or is this something new for 2014? I think this a great idea. They have plenty of options to choose from this year.

They never had a choice until the middle of 2011.
