Ouch...no reason he should have been in the game at that point.

If this is true, a fan wouldn't be posting it ahead of official word. If it's not true, a fan wouldn't be posting it.

The End.

What are you talking about?

Really bad news. Next man up sounds good but the next man up will not be nearly as good a player. Hate he was lost with the game in hand but every snap could be your last in football. Damn.

Google Ifedi out 4-6 weeks and see what comes up.

The prognosis on Ifedi, whatever it is, hasn't been made public. If someone has private information that has not yet been released publicly by the Head coach, why should this person take it upon himself/herself too make it known?

If the person is just repeating a rumor, then he/she shouldn't repeat that either.

Fuente never makes injury statuses public, so why would he start now?

RE: Ifedi out 4-6 weeks
There are reasons to play injury reports close to the chest. Besides, if the Coach wants it that way, why shouldn't his wishes be respected?

Many folks are waiting to know/hear the status of Ifedi. There were NBA scouts at the game who were extremely interested in his injury and the prognosis.

I don't get this need to gain respect from message board posters by repeating rumors, or by repeating insider info you might have learned through connections that most don't have.

This is a message board for fans. This isn't Yahoo, New York Times, The Commercial Appeal, etc. Heck this isn't even Roar. Fans will talk about what fans want to talk about. Many on here wanted to know ifedi's status. If a fan knows something, and he wants to share it, then so be it. It's no different than if all of us crazy nuts were sitting on Tiger Lane, and someone said, "so I heard Ifedi is out for a little while." Relax man. Everything is okay.

Yes it does suck but to imply that the starters shouldn't have been playing in the second half seems misplaced.

Your analogy is incorrect. Messageboards posts are written, widely disseminated, public communication monitored by the sports media. If you harm in any manner the Tiger program by revealing information helpful to the opponent, then it is not ok - your condescending tone notwithstanding.

Nobody has done anything to "harm" the program or help the opponent. Geez.

You really think ifedi needed the reps against a clearly inferior opponent?

Fuente did a nice job on the coaches show just now explaining the staffs mindset coming out of half time. I just think with certain guys more caution should be used. This will greatly effect our chances to compete saturday.

Sometimes injury reports are not made public so that the 'bad guys' don't know they don't need to prepare for a key player. It happens all the time. Sometimes the coaches put out info saying the key player won't play when they know he will. So many ways to play the info.

Why not use every advantage we have against our next opponent which just happens to be UCLA...a team having trouble protecting its quarterback?

I mean is there something wrong with looking at every angle of an upcoming 'battle'? lol

Yeah, i am sure ucla coaches are scouring memphis message boards for reliable injury updates. When the CA reports he is not practicing should we shout them down too? Its 2014, you ain't hiding anything from anyone anymore.
