UCLA's defensive front did look good yesterday. Our OL will be challenged that's for sure.

Our Offense line is still very weak. UCLA defensive line will have a hay day on our guys unfortunately.

Their QB runs the read pretty well. With the speed and size he has that will be a huge challenge. Their WR are big and run well. These things give our Def fits.

Was my first thought. I'm almost positive it was -24. I collected on that one.

Have no idea (and didn't at the time), but they were ranked #16. The Auburn team which we beat on the road in 1975 was ranked.............wait for it.............#7. Some think 7 is a lucky number.

UCLA just handed Virginia it's 10 straight loss by 8 points and they play in the ACC. We did what we should do against a bad team. UCLA struggled against a bad team.

RE: UCLA -24
Gap/contain discipline is key.

Several occasions we left the back gate open against AP.

UCLA will be good enough to abuse us if we do that. UVA has one of the finer front 7s the Bruins will see all year.

So do we.

UVA was able to get tons of pressure without house blitzes...went back and watched their game...they rushed 4 most of the time, and the UCLA OL couldn't handle it.

Part of Hundley's running ability is that he is running for his life most of the time. LOL

Kendricks and Jack are absolute beasts and tackling machines...#94 (DE) has a great motor and never gives up on a play.

Tough challenge, but I feel we're better prepared for it than we have been in many years.

RE: UCLA -24
I think our defense will be as expected & keep UCLA from running up the score but we might still give up big plays if we over-pursue as we did several times against AP. No way to tell if our pass defense has improved from what I saw against AP, we just weren't tested. My major concerns are all on offense where turn over potential scares me & lack of consistency to keep our defense off the field all day. If these issues show up we might still be close at half but get blown out in the 2nd half when we can't maintain some consistent, turn-over free offense & the defense is on the field most of the time.

Both teams have solid defenses, so scoring may be low. Scoring will likely come from big/trick plays, or from the defensive unit. Last week, the ucla defense scored 21 of their 28 points. If I had to take one side of that bet, I would probably take the under.

What I hear from Vegas handicappers is that most people bet the over. Mainly because they are always in the game. Because of that they tend to make the over/under a little higher than they believe the actual points scored will be.
