RE: Field Entrance Fail
This is when you appreciate Coach Cambell...that was pure nonsense IMHO...The true test is the product you put on the field and not the gimmicks.03-puke

I kinda think that gray turf they put in up there looks alright. But it looks as though coach Creighton is trying to build that program through silly catch phrases, slogans, and symbolism, like that Fleck is doing at Western.

RE: Field Entrance Fail
They ALL got their silly little motivational FAILs. Some coaches have their players stand in a circle beating on each other. Probably get them out of some magazine or it's something that has filtered from coach to player to coach. The problem here IMO, it was the crowd they were supposed to be motivating. Leave it to the cheerleaders.

RE: Field Entrance Fail
Didn't we have a coach a few yrs ago blow out a knee or Achilles mixing it up in some sort of circle drill between coaches?

Seem to recall. Wasn't it two coaches going at each other?

I think it's from the Pete Carrol school of coaching.

Speaking of Field Entrance, I was a skeptic, coming out of Larimer but I thought it looked pretty cool.

I think it was his knee he blew out. They were going 1-on-1 in a DL vs. OL type drill, I think. Or it might have been a 1-on-1 drill to see who could get the other guy outside of the circle first.

Never thought it was a good idea to have that whole cage match thing going on. Too much potential for injury and seems like it would do more to harm total team camaraderie than it would help. I'm sure that entrance by EMU got all 500 of their fans worked up to a crazy frenzy.
