RE: Wk 2: C-USA; Lines in the Sand
Arizona @ UTSA- Houston was a good G5 program, Arizona is a good P5
SMU @ North Texas- Both looked terrible last week. UNT is at home
Western Kentucky @ Illinois- Bowling Green could beat Illinois
FAU @ Alabama- worse loss than Nebraska game
UAB @ Miss. State- too much for UAB
Middle Tennessee @ Minnesota- Biggest win of the week for C-USA?
Wagner @ FIU- Worst loss of the week for C-USA
ODU @ North Carolina State- NC State is beyond terrible
LATech @ ULL- Prove me wrong. Please.
Rhode Island @ Marshall- Two for Two
Alcorn State @ Southern Miss- A must win before the Bama game
Texas Tech @ UTEP- "Upset of the Week" Tech struggled with Central Arkansas last week at home. UTEP should have a crowd at the Sun Bowl.

If we don't either beat the Gophers or only lose by a few points at Minnesota, I might just go out to a bar for a few days.

Feel free to take the cheapshot. After all you are our rival. BUT, then be prepared for the actual truth. You clearly don't recall why we actually had no choice but to schedule a second 1AA team. And I don't blame you as I would not remember FAU scheduling changes either. Look it up. Here's a hint: Someone canceled on us.

Here you go:

You see sometimes there are legitimate reasons for some actions. But don't tell the FIU bashers out there. They just want the negative stuff because they detest FIU and the truth gets in the way. 03-shhhh

Well it actually comes in handy, now. You still have a chance against a 1-aa team and you got an additional home game to build your fanbase.

You guys have 8 at home-- correct ?

Why do you say that? Minnesota is a solid Big Ten team...You guys are 17 point underdog.....

RE: Wk 2: C-USA; Lines in the Sand
Arizona @ UTSA - Roadrunners lose 31-27, Rich Rod still sucks

SMU @ North Texas - UNT wins 27-14 and SMU continues with their self imposed death penalty for the season

Western Kentucky @ Illinois – No fight in the Illini, WKU wins 42-30 and Brohm is given his pick of unlimited coeds in Bowling Green.

FAU @ Alabama – Alabama shouldn't be ranked #2 and the Saban/Kiffin version of Step Brothers continue, Bama 45-10.

UAB @ Miss. State – Moo U wins 33-20, Blazers keep it close until the 4th

Middle Tennessee @ Minnesota – Dontchaknow!? Gophers win 24-17

Wagner @ FIU - FIU wins by 3, the fire Garcia cries get louder.

ODU @ North Carolina State – The Norfolk Division of William & Mary escape with Raleigh with a win over the Wolfcrap 42-38. So distraught Philip Rivers goes on a cocaine and hookers binge in SD and throws 4 INTS on Monday Night.

La. Tech @ ULL – ULaLa aka Honey Boo Boo University wins 28-13, their fans make plans to play in the NOLA Bowl again. Early estimates are there will be 5 billion ULaLa fans at the game.

Rhode Island @ Marshall – Cato throws for 5 TDs and Marshall wins 59-6. Rhode Island is still the lamest state in the US.

Alcorn State @ Southern Miss- SMT with the T to the 12 power? Who knows? USM gets the win 28-14.

Texas Tech @ UTEP – My upset of the week with Miners taking it 30-24. Front page Sunday in El Paso filled with Ryan Gosling sighting.

Johnson C. Smith @ Charlotte – Why the f@ck are we playing this game? These hoodrats were trying cause trouble last time we played them in a basketball exhibition. Niners fans freak out because our students leave at the halftime. Pick axe and roll....Niners win 45-13

Was this a random guess? That's the exact score they beat us by last time we played. Also, the line is down to 16 now.

RE: Wk 2: C-USA; Lines in the Sand (Friday Morning Trending Update)
Well, Arizona narrowly won over UTSA, so that game is in the books. (BTW the trending on this game as of game time was 16-16 picks for each...pretty much like it played out!) But as of Friday morning at 10:45, this is where the balance of games are trending, at the moment, with fan picks.

North Texas over SMU (26 picks to 7)
Western Kentucky over Ilinois (22-11)
Alabama over FAU (33-0)
Miss State over UAB (31-2)
Middle Tennessee over Minnesota (19-14)
FIU over Wagner (29-4)
North Carolina State over ODU (23-10)
UL-L over LaTech (25-7)
USM over Alcorn State (31-1) Sorry, about that. Fixed.
Marshall over Rhode Island (33-0)
Texas Tech over UTEP (23-10)
Charlotte over JC Smith (30-0)

I'll publish the week two picker-extraordinaire after the final C-USA game (as well as the two week leader.) I'll still accept votes (excluding the UTSA game, up until the first C-USA game time on Saturday.
