playing the worst college in fcs can make any game plan look good. same old stuff from what i could see.
if we see the same dropped balls, interceptions, predictable play and lynch trying to run when in trouble, UCLA will beat our brains in. Esp if we lose Ifedi because he got hurt when he should have been on the sideline resting. austin peay folks...austin peay.
You gotta play the games on the schedule and to be on this side of a beating is rare for us. This program needs confidence and this game certainly doesn't hurt in that department.
The team did a lot of things well and needs to learn how to win. How many times in recent years have we beaten someone we should have beaten? Half the time, maybe? We are a program that lost to UT Martin not long ago. I liked the win and the play of the team, including the coaching. The did what they were supposed to do. Now onto UCLA with a lot more confidence then we've had in recent memory.
Lace em up and who knows.

Exactly. Everyone knows AP is horrible. Nobody expects a NC after winning against AP. But we should enjoy the little wins and recognize improvement.
I think calkins had a good article today.
Yesterday, despite the weather conditions, reminded me why I continue to support tiger football after all these years. I had a blast.
It was worth the sinus infection I'm dealing with after going from the west coast to humid Memphis weather to sitting in the rain.

I have mixed feelings about paxton running.
Of course, running for TDs is a good thing.
But, I just hold my breath when I see him run while hoping for no injury

He is a good pocket passer, but he looks like a new born baby giraffe running the ball. Needs to work on sliding.

Why in the hell would you give your offensive playbook to UCLA? The staff kept it basic for Peay smart stuff.

It's not like he is 6'6 195.... He is a pretty solid player.
He has a very long stride, which IMO, makes him seem less quick than he really is. I don't mind his running nearly as much as some of y'all seem to do.
shere khan, I guess you see what you want to see.... Will leave it at that.

Nobody is under the impression that we beat anybody special Saturday. APSU is HORRIBLE. However, we did what a decent team is supposed to do to a terrible team and destroyed them. There was a time in the not too distant past when we would not have done that. So, that is progress.

Haha that is a perfect description of his running.
I wasn't blown away by Paxton (I'd hoped to see a great deal of improvement) but I can say that he seemed a lot more comfortable/confident out there. Last year he seemed to shy away from his role as a leader and I thought that he seemed to embrace it on Saturday.
