They've got another lightning delay. If they can't resume before midnight, game over. Question is, do you still get paid? This might be a best case situation.

They got the kickoff in before it got delayed again. Florida ran it back deep too.

Idaho kicked off, Florida returned it to the Idaho 15, and then they stopped play because of another lightning strike.

Starting Thursday there have been quite a few games delayed due to weather. Seems like if we have one game postponed, there is a rash of them, and not just in one area but all over the country.

I blame Al Gore.

But he did give us this wonderful world for us to discuss it.

Florida and Idaho do not play this game. Florida has another disappointing season, going 5-6 (without a make up of Idaho game). Will the NCAA grant them a waiver to go to a bowl game?

That sounds horrible.

TV juist said both teams share an open date some Saturday in October. I am not sure Idaho will be too anxious to fly to Florida again in 5-6 weeks to play. Maybe Idaho can hold out for additional money.

Only open date is Oct. 25th - a bye week for both teams - or in Dec. after the end of both of our regular schedules.

If the game is cancelled, does Idaho still get the contracted money, or is it contingent on the game taking place. If it's required, it might be important for Idaho to take their abuse unfortunately because of their financial situation.

Would think Idaho would still get paid.

I mean, it cant be unfathomable because Florida would have to refund all the tickets which is theoretically where the money comes from to pay for that. They also might be able to pay them, then schedule them for a later season without the guarantee.

That has to be the best possible outcome for this game.
