Yep but no "bad" losses to FCS teams. The 1 loss that really surprised me was the Troy game, especially the margin.

Troy was a head scratcher. But then again, its hard to beat a rival 4 years in a row.

Yeah, considering last year and the year before, the Sun Belt couldn't say it... It has come to this. We do it a few years in a row, and then it becomes an afterthought, an expectation.

We seem to drop one to FCS every year as a league, and we had some tricky ones this weekend with NMSU facing a Game Cal Poly, Georgia State facing Alphabet Soup, and AState facing a Top 10 Montana State squad.

We simply had to win all those games, so getting through them is a good thing. Now we can start focusing on winning our FBS games.

Shhhh

UCA plays Texas Tech within 7 points and heads to Bozeman in two weeks, I will be following that with curious interest.

If Tech kills the pigs in a couple weeks, someone in Conway is going to have some fun with the score comparison game

Re: Sun Belt 1st weekend
I'm proud of the way our Eagles played today. Our shortage of depth was exposed towards the end, but we had multiple opportunities to put the game away. Georgia Southern should have won this game, plain and simple.

Sucks App got walloped, but we are much more confident about our matchup with you guys now.

Can't believe Troy got abused.

Overall, enjoyed watching and keeping up with SBC ball this weekend. Hope we keep in proving we were a good pickup and will compete in this league and help improve the profile.

Is there a notable difference in the two?

NC State is a bad football team. 3-9 last year with no ACC wins. Dave Doeren won't last there.

I think better, more appropriate terminology can be used.

You might get a reach-around with one. Troy obviously didn't.

Troy getting beat like they did was totally unexpected and Georgia State's close victory over A-CU was just about what I expected.

Troy and it's fans have been living in the past for several years now. They will end up in the bottom third again this season.
