I was really hoping USM would be on the road back to being a solid team but this result surely is not what I expected. Not necessarily winning against Miss State but at least keeping it fairly close.

When you lose 49-0 and think, "That went exactly how I expected it to go," that tells you where your program is.

You know things are going to go back when upon being asked to call heads or tails for the coin toss, your quarterback tells the official "Defer!"

We are a year removed from losing seven C-USA games by a combined score of 314-91.

We weren't keeping a potential Top 25 SEC team close.

We won't know if there is any improvement or not until after the Appy State game in a few weeks. Well...if we lose to Alcorn, we'll know there is definitely NOT improvement.

Im sure we will get the absolute best shot alcorn can give. After all their hc was our dc and was the reason Bower was let go.
Tonight was no indication but i think you will see improvement before the year is out. I saw improvement at times on the defense. I am waiting to see how the ol looks against a non p5 school.

Things will be back to normal down the road. We have the best leadership we have ever had in my opinion. The RGC will be transformed from a yurt to a showpiece in the near future (ive seen the drawings).

Its time for everyone to make a decision. Put up or shut up. Buy season tickets, give to the EC and other booster groups or stop bitching all together. If your not a shareholder as a former ad said, you have no business or right to express your opinion.

PS Ive known Nasty bunch as long as ive known anyone living in Hattiesburg. He has never collected a fat or a skinny paycheck from the university.

USM football is still a joke. Anyone that thinks different is just being blind to the facts. Monken is not the answer either. He personally coaches the receivers now and they couldn't catch a cold. Don't give any BS rah rah crap. USM football is a walking disaster still.

I recorded the game because I was out of town. But after seeing the score, I didn't want to watch it. Bad enough I've had State fans text me all weekend about the score.

I can say that the view of ASU's stadium is pretty solid from Hooters.....
