RE: UTEP-UNM gameday thread
What I'd like to know is how good is central arkansas? And I'm sure the game was in lubbock. So that means that we certainly have a chance at winning since it's been confirmed that we can tackle now. And we still have our running backs which were outstanding in this game.

Count me as a believer. We'll win next week.

Well, C-USA may not be getting the big name P5 victories today, but we're handling the G5 matchups well. Way to go Miners!

I had faith in Kugler. It was just going to take time to get rid of the lazy habits and whatnot that had taken root.

So did Aaron Jones:

''It was fun,'' said Jones, who was briefly recruited by New Mexico.

''When you're clicking on high cylinders, everything is fun. When you get the win, it's fun.''

And it's especially fun to foil the Lobos, he said.

''They called me and told me my senior year that they were going to do an in-home visit and they never showed up,'' Jones said. ''They called and told me when they were coming, my mom cooked and they never showed up. So I have to take it to them.''

One thing I've been told: NEVER no-show when Mama's cooking for everyone! Now...who else no-showed on him?

Good enough to get 406 yards without a turnover and be on the field for 94 plays against Tech. That's not shabby no matter who you are. I was watching the feed and Tech has a 367-lb JUCO NT (Rika Levi). If the Miner front line can push him around (if he plays...only saw him because he was helped off the field) and keep Tech off the field, then who knows.

Here are some of the highlights of the UNM game. The audio is from one of the Spanish stations.

TACLEADA: pronounced (tahk-leea-duh), means he didn't get away.

Aaron "Chow times" Jones: pronounced (emmm-veeee-peee) means he got away

Went to the game and was pleased to come back with a good win against a rival. Hope the momentum carries over to Texas Tech this Saturday at the sun bowl.
Go miners!
