Good grief. I sure hope the Texas defense is actually good, because they made our QBs look like high school kids playing against college kids. If their defense is not good, we are in serious trouble.

RE: North Texas @ Texas Gameday Thread
That was the worst display of passing I've ever seen in my life. The North Texas QBs held a clinic on how not to throw the ball. Our defense will be solid again this season. They came ready to play. Unfortunately, our QBs keep throwing picks, and leading the offense on three and out drives. Were it not for our offense, Texas probably would have only scored about 24 points. Plus our D scored our only points of the game. Our special teams are still good too. Even though our D is good, if we don't find a QB that can throw the ball, we will be in trouble this season.

This game was a terrible disappointment.

RE: North Texas @ Texas Gameday Thread
We completed more passes to the other team than to our own team. We had more passing attempts than passing yards. As Side Show Joe said, I've never seen such a horrible passing game before.

It's not like our QB's were under a bunch of pressure ... they had time. Our receivers were covered tight but they did get open. Our starter looked like he was just overwhelmed by the situation. Our backup quarterback can't throw at all but we knew that coming into the game. It looked like we were playing a couple of freshmen quarterback ... high school freshmen.

Before tonight I had no doubts we would beat SMU next week. Now, I'm not sure.

If we figure out our qb situation we will be fine, I'd even venture to say good. If not, it will be a long season.

We did. Everything but QB apparently - and that one position combined with Mac's stubbornness undid all the great progress we made.

I'm terribly disappointed as well. I at least thought you would give the shorthorns a game but you flopped badly. Well, time to regroup and get your act together for it's a long season.
