I'm sorry, that was directed at the ECU guy, they're up 10-7 over them in the 3rd. All kidding aside, the conference has had a pretty good opening week.

ECU woke up. Unfortunately for them, they have SC next game and I'd imagine SC is still going to be pissed after its last game. Hopefully we perform better against NCCU than we did last season.

complaints about our 2014 schedule are funny. This is our second year and the schedule was made before being announced for CUSA.
I think many fans wanted a "payday" game but those are scheduled years in advance and with only 1 FCS school counting towards bowl eligibility, are hard to get in a panic. It is what it is.
It is foolish to think that 2015 we will do any damage anyways. I think the best we can hope for is that really we just tick CUSA off. By that I mean, we are a drain on the conference for a season and we maybe win a game we shouldn't. For that I apologize in advance. You put up with USM, FIU, and UAB so hopefully you can put up with a squad that is circa 2013.
All signs are pointing that our team is slated for 2016 to be the year this starts rolling for us. We didn't hit the JUCO route very hard this season, and I doubt we do next year. We brought in JUCO guys only that replaced more senior talent from last season (ILB, S, and HB). In 2016 we'll have a number of 5th year and 4th year seniors, all with 3-4 years of significant playing time. We'll have a roster younger than that, that will arguable be more talented (based on recruiting rankings).
2016 OOC is Temple, KState, E Washington, and Elon. We have a chance to really represent CUSA in OOC. By then, Johnson will have learned to look at his 2nd/3rd options or Barden gets it done.

So an ODU fan whose team has yet to play a C-USA game, is worried that our schedule might not prepare us for C-USA football?
ODU drops the scheduled H & H for 13 and 14 and is now complaining about our schedule strength?

I am thrilled that a thread about Charlotte playing Campbell would get more than 100 posts and incite this kind of passion in our friends at ODU. We must be on the right track.

Expect their fans to complain it was Charlotte's fault because they wanted a stronger SOS this year.

I've heard Selig was trying to convince the league to put you guys in the West just so we could put off having to play you all for a few more years.

That game is versus E. Michigan, not E. Washington.
