Or, they could start 2-0 and gain confidence daily and pull off a couple surprises in league play and finish with 4 or 5 wins. If the latter happens, this league will be A LOT better than people think it will. Especially given I don't see Idaho going 1-11 again.

You heard it here first, Georgia State will finish above 500 this year. They got a lot better as the year went on last year and I believe they'll continue the trend.

That shock win in Lafayette will really buoy their season.

The pain somewhat lessened by the clobbering we'll give the RedWolves.

Will you guys be actually attempting to stop the Off Tackle Left this time, or will it be like the last trip to Lafayette and the defense wont bother?

In their last 5 games other than the ASU game GST was pretty much outclassed and the game over by the middle of the 3rd qt. So how is that "they got better as the year went on"? Looks to me they got better vs Troy & TXST then got really bad again.

But does that really matter since GST must replace 11 out of 21 players tied with Troy for the most in the SBC...

out of those 11 players GST must replace 3 of 4 in their defensive backfield and in a pass happy conference that does bold well.

Perhaps you were more impressed with their losses to Samford, Chattanooga and Jacksonville State than I, but whatever, I think they'll be better this year than last if for no other reason it's impossible to be worse.

BTW, am I wrong or is every post of yours some sort of pissing contest to show how much more you know about a subject than the other guy?

Oh yeah, well just try running it 10 times in a row this time and I bet we stop it at least twice.............like on runs 9 and 10.

Consider the fact that not one thing you did worked last year I would say yes.......

Touchy, aren't you? this is a message board I assume you made your comment for others to read and discuss?

So are you telling me you don't like it when someone ask you questions? It's not about showing knowing more about something it was a response to your statement.

Considering the number of freshmen in Ark State's depth chart, Anderson is banking on young athletes to build his program around. As a former coach, you know exactly what playing a large number of freshmen will mean for them this season.

you tell me what "those that matters" see. I see one thing "those that matters" see, very clearly

I agree they very clearly don't believe CUSA nor SBC programs are very good.

Touchy? LOL. I cut my teeth on the internet busting balls (and getting mine busted) with others on political forums. This place is a walk in the park comparatively.

No, I was merely making what I believe to be an accurate observation about your posting style. For some odd reason, when you see anything with which you disagree, you can't seem to resist taking a stand and defending it to the death, providing facts, figures, links, etc. And if there aren't enough facts and figures available, you're never at a loss for finishing the argument with some sort of profound assertion that no one could disprove or even care to attempt to disprove. Your dissertation about stAte's income per ticket sold is just one recent example. I guess there's nothing wrong with that, it just seems kind of weird and anal to me.

As for the quote re Georgia State, I expressed my opinion based on listening to games of theirs last year, believe they improved and generally played more competitive ball over the course of the season, and believe they'll be a better team this year. If you wish to challenge my all-important opinion on the subject, I eagerly await your game-by-game, quarter-by-quarter, play-by-play analysis of the season to prove my opinion is wrong.

Georgia State may lack talent, but Coach Miles now has a group of guys that are willing to play for him. I watched quite a few of their games and they did get much better through the season. They were playing with much more effort than at the beginning of the season; a different team, really. They will be much improved this year and I think they win 4.

Georgia State, for a start-up, has much potential going forward. If this happens they will be darling of all start-ups:

Did you actually just say you sit and listen not watch but listen on the internet to a winless team who you have no connection to play. Not only listen but listen to enough games...5, 6, more? that you could form a opinion that they were getting better.

Wow I'm stumped on that and actually feel sorry for you

Yes, when the schedules allow, I listen to the games of as many Cajun opponents as possible, regardless of who they're playing. Georgia State actually has one of the best broadcast teams I've heard. And the beauty of listening via internet is that I can surf and listen at the same time.

I even listened to the MUTS play Marshall last year and it was a great game. How's that? Neither team in our conference. You gonna argue with me about that?
