What about SMU, Tulsa, Memphis (Liberty Bowl), UCF, Cincy and Navy?
Just looking for info on football ribbon displays.
the liberty bowls shape doesnt lend itself to ribbon boards. the mega board on the south and the other video board on the north serve quite well though.

Yep. UCF didn't have any, and LSU's are just used for ads. I think they dedicate about 1 minute per game to showing other scores.

RE: Talk to me about ribbon scoreboards
We used to have lightbulb ones back around 2006-2007ish, they would show all the other scores in conference. They were taken down with suite renovations I believe. They also had ads on the side of each one. Our ones now are just used for stats, and ads.

Confirmed.
Ribbon boards are going in at Houston between the 20s on both the home and visitors' sides before the 3rd home game.

UCF doesn't have a separated deck overhang between the first and 2nd level in their stadium so its not a possibility at that location (where most ribbon boards are placed).
Once that 10k seat deck gets put in, there will be room for a ribbon and then some. In fact I think there might be some SRO space when they do.
I'm betting your expansion is like ours...lots of talk. I'll believe it when I see it. The fad on getting larger seems to be slowing down and more focus on areas to make the experience more grand.
Spot on....Nippert expansion, while is a true expansion, is only expanding by 5-7k but the seats they ARE adding are luxury, loge, etc. The other thing Nippert is doing is upgrading to make the experience better for the fans. We live in an age where flat screens and HD make it a lot easier for fans to stay home and watch a game from the luxury of their couch/chair. Stadiums and Arenas are starting to go for "experience" these days vs raw size. The day of 80k bleachers for the sake of getting as many people into a game are over. If the experience isn't good, you can forget it. This is the reason many ncaa schools are studying MLS. The MLS makes for a GREAT experience for fans and as such, their attendance is strong. The MLS was right behind MLB last year for #3 in average attendance per game. Impressive that it beat out the NBA and NHL. Smart folk are running the MLS. Same can be said for UC's athletic leadership.

PBS does have them and I've heard rumors of Nippert getting them on the east side second deck façade with the remodel.

I did not include PBS because that is not our permanent home, and until it is confirmed Nippert does not have them. However at the expanded Nip
there should be room on both sides.
