It all depends.

The 'zags will probably be your biggest challengers... Wichita State will be very, very good as well. Ron Baker is probably the most underated guard in the country.

Thank God that Memphis joined this league to keep hoop strong (along with UConn and Cincy). I am also glad that SMU has built a winner so quickly and that Houston seems committed to building one now. If Temple can return to form and Tulsa can stay good with their new coach, then we will have ourselves a nice hoop league here!

UConn, Cincy, Memphis, Temple, SMU, Tulsa, Houston, etc...the AAC has so much potential it's ridiculous.

Rebuilding year. It'll be tougher next year. Plus with the good conference games it's not as important to front load with good ooc games, especially when we have a young, inexperienced team.

Not all cupcakes. Wichita State (likely top 10) at neutral site. Baylor neutral + maybe Illinois. Okie State at home. At Gonzaga. SFA will be good. That leaves maybe 7 cupcakes, which are about all you can get for buy games to meet the quota for home games at FedExForum.

Not sure how many other AAC OOC schedules are going to be much tougher.

Xavier, @NC State, @Nebraska, San Diego State, VCU, neutral vs. Ole Miss/Creighton and NC Central is a better OOC...07-coffee3

Nope. Check last year's RPI numbers. Wichita State is way better than anybody on your list, last year and this year. Gonzaga is likely better than anybody on your list. Baylor might be, as might Okie State. SFA is as good as most of them.

Apparently Josh Pastner didn't get the memo about scheduling tough OOC opponents from Mike Aresco. It appears he's trying to replicate CUSA (or worse) with this OOC schedule. A Div II exhibition game and 7 opponents that finished last season with an RPI in excess of 150; 2 with RPI's over 300.

You don't have to schedule too hard OOC because we're not in CUSA anymore. Moreover, we always play CBU as an exhibition game...who are we supposed to play as an exhibition game?

LOL what??? Wichita State finished #4 in the RPI...Creighton finished #10. Gonzaga finished #20 while VCU finished #13 and SDSU finished #15...

Wichita State, Gonzaga, Oklahoma State, Baylor, Illinois, and a solid mid-major like SFA works for me...esp with our conference slate.
