Pretty cool stuff, keeping the NBA momentum going in Charlotte.

I feel pretty good about our chances.

Return of the name. Solid team. Lot's of buzz around town (no pun intended).

Talked to a Hornet's season ticket sales rep today. He said they only had around 100 season ticket packages left in the lower level. Didn't specify on the upper level, but from what I've heard, those are becoming scarce too.

Went in with some friend and got four lower right before the playoffs. Really looking forward to the season.

While I did not go to the NHL All Star GAME in Raleigh, I did make it to the Fan Far side of things and that was great. Definitely worth the drive up and the time spent.

The interesting thing will be if they are going to make the added improvements Adam Silver said were "necessary" during his recent visit. Between the DNC upgrades and the rebranding, I can't imagine there is anything else they could do besides refurbish the suites area which really don't need it.

Didn't they just spend millions on the suites like two years ago?

"Council members will make the ultimate decision on what, if any, repairs are funded with taxpayer money. Based on the clause in the lease and the city’s backing of the Hornets-led all-star bid, count on the city saying yes to the request. Kimble said Tuesday the amount to be recommended is lower than the $42 million request, but he declined to disclose specific figures. Changes to the luxury seating, scoreboards and other areas are among the recommendations. NBA Commissioner Adam Silver, during a visit to Charlotte earlier this year, said better lighting and other upgrades sought by the team would be needed before the league awards an all-star game to the city."
