Georgia Southern, according to Coach Fritz, will use something like 75/25 run pass ratio.

Under Monken the past few years it was more like 90/10 or even 95/5.

I am assuming Sun Belt teams pass far more than 25% of the time, so what do you expect your run/pass ratio to be this year?

As I stated before, Fran hasn't gotten the memo yet about passing being part of the game. I think he's stuck in the early days of college football when a pass was not even a thought.

j/k, I have no idea what will happen this year; which is nothing new since Brad George graduated.

AState was run heavy at times last year, but I expect us to be more mixed this year. Troy and ULM are usually pretty pass heavy...most of the rest of the league is mixed outside of ULL and Texas State.

Last year Troy ran the ball 437 times and passed the ball 483 times.

47.5% run and 52.5 % pass.

I thought we were pretty close to 50/50, and we were. 55% run, 45% pass.

Anyone that believes our run pass ratio is going to be 75/25 is nuts. 60/40

I think it totally depends on our ability in the passing game. If we are struggling, I think it will be much more 75/25 80/20 than 60/40.

If we are successful in the pass, I think you may be right.

Don't know about run/pass ratio but was announces today the Eagles would go no huddle up tempo & try and average 3 plays a minute.

RE: For your offense what is your run/pass ratio?
They asked Mike Leach about 'balanced attack' and he said it's kinda misleading - especially for an 'Air Raid' offense.

But I thought it made a lot of sense in general.

He said balance was attacking all areas of the field, not whether you did that
with a long or short pass or a pitch or a hand-off.

We might go further that if an opponent has a glaring weakness,
you don't want balance, but want to keep attacking the weakness until
they're forced to change somehow.
