C'mon that diatribe was a LITTLE outside. The reply you got was deserved.

RE: Chuck Martin, a big bullchitter
Have you met any of the our WMU football coaches? Have you been around the players of late and asked them about the positive change Fleck has brought to WMU? Have you talked to our key players and heard the excitement in their voices when they talk about the future of our program with Fleck? Have you talked to any of the 2014 or 2015 recruits and asked them WHY are you coming to WMU? (And please don't tell me its because of playing time, cause all HS players leave HS and think they will play right away and also want to play in the NFL)
I have, and I can tell you that until Fleck proves otherwise to me in the next several years that he can't coach, I have nothing else to go by then from the sources within our program who are extremely optimistic about our future. Yes, the 18-23 year old sources, who are drinking the Fleck Kool Aid and will in a major part determine the future direction of WMU football. Wins and Losses. Like it our not they play the game, and they have bought in to all the things that many of you don't like about Fleck. So be it for now.

1. When other people post replies to your comments, I can see them.

2. I can still view your profile on ignore. That's where I came up with the number. Brilliant, I know. 03-idea

Most accurate statement you've ever made here. +1 because it's 100% true.

I don't like Fleck and I won't be quiet. Sorry. It doesn't matter if I met him, and players liking him or not is anecdotal. I put little stock in that and more in results.

He's 1-11.

But you've made it clear, even if the results are good you want him gone.

I haven't, but I have to ask, do you think he stays if his results are good?

I think it's time for arrow to weigh in with his "man this board is money" deal soon.

I asked you this earlier. If he had two great years and got solid BCS offer, but a few well healed alums came forth and beat that offer, would you want him to stay?

Sure, he could make us the next Boise.

You honestly see that as a possibility? Boise hasn't even kept their coaches. Takes more than a few "well heeled" alums to compete with the BCS crew.

So you're saying if he wins you'd be okay with him being a fixture here.

I'm breaking into cold sweats thinking of this clown as a long term fixture here. That would be about like basketball season x 10.

I guess there is always hockey. <sigh> Thank you AFM.

Are most of them intimidated by the learning curve and the speed and strength they come up against? I know Anthony Parker was starting on the Oline as a freshmen, and Boles started on the Dline as a freshmen.

Toughest place to play as Freshman besides QB is OL because of physical differences, complexity of schemes and techniques to be mastered.

The more you can RS those guys and let them develop, the better. Nebraska was famous for starting fifth-year OL.

We had a T-DE sign with SVSU a year ago. Played at 227 his Senior year. Saw him after Spring ball this May, now weighs 260 (he's 6-6) and has a chance to start on offense as a RFr.

It's easier to contribute early at DE than DT because former can get by on athleticism somewhat. MLBer tough to play early because of mental demands. Sometimes special ones can get by on instincts but may be overmatched physically too.

So there's a difference between adding depth and adding QUALITY depth.

And there is no substitute for experience.

Chip, IMO you are beating an already DEAD Bronco which is really sad. He is clearly not optimistic about our coach and never will be even if he wins a MAC Championship.
BL, Glad you feel this way and live out in Seattle or wherever...its obvious you haven't been to Waldo in awhile and with Fleck as a coach don't see you wasting your time and money to come back here. So live through the internet it seems to suit you well.

I get back at least once a year. I'll be back this year for homecoming, really excited about the hockey team.
