Considering you guys were so young last year, you should have an experienced team in 2016. Very interesting.

Yes sir, if The Chronicle is reporting it, it's a done deal.

Nice 04-rock

Big 12 audition.

Show up, play a good game, and we might just punch our ticket.

Lord knows the Big 12, especially the North, is missing that Houston connection.

I don't see the Big XII as the best option. ACC, SEC, or Pac 12 are preferred over Big XII. Nothing is happening, so I'm proud to be an American.

You're right. The Big 12 is the little sister of other big name conferences and won't be around for very much longer.

So Houston has options? That is news to me. IMO Houston has "a chance" to get into the Big12....they have zero chance of the SEC, ACC or PAC12. I would not be snubbing my nose at the Big12. I bet the UH Administration would crawl on its knees to get into the Big12.

You're right in regards to the SEC and ACC. I'd imagine UH would have a small chance into either the Pac-12 or Big 12. The Pac-12 likes the large metro areas where many of their current schools are located. (San Fran, LA, Phoenix, Denver, Seattle)

we have zero chance at SEC, absolutely none...the pac12 is making expansion solely on their tv ..their is only 1 school that fits their profile in a top tv market that geographically fits them that isnt n the p5... its houston..houston has a "chance' at pac12

the ACC is also building a tv network and they would also take the Houston market.

the question is can we build our importance in the market

We have as much a chance as anyone else. That being 0.000001% chance of an invite.

If we got a B12 invite and no other invitation was forthcoming from another P5 you bet we take it.

Given a choice we go to any P5 that is not the B12.

As for our "chances" however slim of each P5 here is the order I see.

1. ACC/P12
3. B12
4. SEC
5. B10

I say the B10 sits at 0% and however slim they are it goes up from there.

Again not saying we are just waiting on our pending invite anywhere in the P5 just saying we have as much a chance as anyone.

I've always wondered what it would take to get UT to bring UH along to the Pac 12 instead of Texas Tech.
