Taking the Student out of the Student Athlete...
How is this possible with all of the NCAA rules regarding minimum GPA etc...

This guy is literally taking Golf and Yoga as his ONLY two classes ... how is he allowed to play? Oh yeah... he's a Heisman candidate this year... hmmm

He's got a 3.15 GPA and is a couple classes short of graduating. If it fits in the guidelines of the school and NCAA, then so be it.

If the kid had a 2.1 in his second year...then I'd be much more inclined to bash this.

The kid is going to get a degree and has put the work in up till this semester to coast. There are definitely more egregious examples of academic corner cutting than this. See the "academic support" that goes on in top programs and you'll just be glad that the kid is doing is own yoga and hitting his own golf balls.

I would imagine a 2.1 in yoga would take him out of the running for the Heisman!

I'll never forget the golf class I took at WMU with Dr. Cool. Went to the range every "class" and had to turn in a golf instruction binder at the end of the semester. I challenge you to come up with an easier 4.0 than that.

Like Mariota, needed to fill those Phys. Ed. requirements. Softball was the other one.

My 1 credit 4.0 I got each of my 5 years on the football team.

Wait, that was hard... Should have been given a tape recorder for when Alzheimers kicks in at 50.
