Rockets have 14 LB's on the roster, only 2 are Seniors. 8 are Fr and Sophs with 1 in the recruiting class.

Wasn't there a Bates that played for Dallas Cowboys? Billy Bates or something like that. Somewhat of a common name - but it was the first thing I thought when I saw Fort Worth and the last name.

looked it up before posting. It is Billy Bates and he was a defensive back - born in 1961 so he would be 53 - and could logically have a son that is about 17 or 18. He was 6'1" 213 in his playing days. From Knoxville and Univ. of Tennessee. Possible. Still lives in Dallas area.

Edit: Just checked and he does have a son graduating from HS - but his name is Dillon and he has committed to play at UT - (the Tennessee version of UT). His other 2 sons are playing at Arkansas State and Northwestern (they are twins - actually triplets with one being a sister)
