Best stadium under thirty thousand.
Since the thirty thousand seat rule was changed some stadiums have reduced capacity.

The trend is football operation center on one end.
A big video board on the other with minimal end zone seating.
A school is better off playing in a twenty five thousand seat stadium if they average high teens to low twenties.

Tulane has the newest twenty four thousand actual seats.
Forty five hundred premium seats for strong revenue producing. They are much better off than their Super dome days.

So which one is the best smaller stadium.

Under 30,000 - the Glass Bowl (Toledo)

Has the Glass Bowl fixed the obstructed seat problems from the stadium lighting?

I gotta think Tulane's brand new baby is going to be nice. Nippert is probably going to be north
of 40,000 for 2015, close to it, and it will be much nicer than it is now.

FWIW I have to think, for amenities leg room thinkgs like that. Minnesota's stadium has to be near the top of list.

RE: Best stadium under thirty thousand.
Georgia Southern is going to be nice at twenty four thousand.
They have plans for a third level deck in the future .

Minnesota would win in the fifty thousand category.
Baylor and Cincinnati in the forty thousand seat category.

Texas A&M probably for the over hundred thousand group.
The best fan experience for the schools averaging under thirty thousand. Which is a lot of teams

I agree with WF.

Well maintained, well managed. It's shaped somewhat like Carter Finley when it first opened in 1966 and you are fairly close on the field. It does not have the old low bowl effect that you get in Durham, and it does not have the horror of the lower level front seats in Kenan that are so low that the crown of the field obscures your vision - was that fixed - XLance didn't Davis flatten the field a few years ago, I know it was done at CF.

I went to the OU/UNC game back in the early 80's when UNC was ranked in the top 10 under Dick Crum and took a trip to Norman, but UNC was totally unprepared for the Sooners speed or what seemed to be a 7 foot crown on the field.

RE: Best stadium under thirty thousand.
The number one amenity in a modern stadium is three times the bathroom stalls for women and a quasi - recessed lounge outside their door for them to congregate before and after their group trip to the toilet.

Decades ago I as a simple peon I was sent to deal with a mouse in the staff ladies restroom in an organization I will not mention - OMG! I had no idea women could get such amenites in the john - two chaises, makeup table, plush carpet, - the works - all we got was commodes, urinals and a few sinks. After catching the mouse I went to see the big boss and stupidly asked him "did you know what's in there?" He smiled and said "hush kid, that's part of what it takes to keep them happy - the other secret is space heaters for their feet".

Nippert is the Wrigley Field of college football....an amazing place to watch a game. After the upgrade/expansion it's going to be even better and should seat 40-45K....we are waiting on the final number.

Not yet, but that won't be done until the school can raise enough money to re-do the whole east side of the stadium.

The field at Kenan was flattened when Mack was there, just in time for Donovan McNabb to visit from Syracuse.

But I will still have to give the title to Tulane. I mean just look at that rendering on page 1...

I'm afraid I'm going to disagree on the Glass Bowl as long as they still have obstructed view seats.

I'm probably going to have to go with Wake Forest. No bad corner seats. Avoiding seated endzones when you're that small. It could be closer up to the field but it's still not bad in that respect.

I kinda like these world's tallest midget questions.

Well, this is more kinda like a survey to determine the world's best basketball player under 5'11" ? I guess I will vote for Spud Webb or mugsy Bouges since thats the only ones I remember.

Or the best FBS team last year that did not win 6 games last year? My vote is for Indiana.
