I'd rather have a rivalry trophy against a college team, not a high school team like WKY.

I see the Smut are still the smut. Thought a week off for vacation might have changed something.

To the other scum fan, if you want to try and manufacture a rivalry, have at it. Small Time U.

That's been talked about before:

I remember, look at who wrote the 2nd post down from your link.

The cup could be filled with Bojanges chicken for the winning team. 05-stirthepot

Would never work. UnC-c would find a reason to cancel every game in Norfolk no earlier than 6 weeks prior to the season starting.

We put Pollards Chicken in it and you put Bojangles.

This is the only trophy I care about playing for.

We play for championships.

Thats a good one to get, but a rivalry trophy can and does inspire the fans and players. It was VERY painful to have the Shula Bowl trophy reside in Dade county for 2 years. It is now back home where it belongs and the players faces when they got to pose with it showed.

In my opinion the USM-Marshall rivalry would be the most heated, anticipated, and exciting in CUSA.

Screw rivalry trophies. A real rivalry doesn't require a trophy in the first place. The disdain the schools have for one another should be incentive enough.

Would love to see a rivalry cup with ODU since both schools are from the Virginia's and on Interstate 64.

UTEP v. Whomever is expected to join them in last place in a given year:

I'd assume the loser would have the honor of keeping this trophy.

Or, you could give that to all teams that finish the season bowl eligible, but don't get a bowl invitation.

I still think the Texas programs should fight it out for a flag like this.

[Image: 900px-Texas_Flag_Come_and_Take_It.svg.png]

It should be a traveling trophy. Let Rice start the season with it. Although, Rice, UNT, and UTSA all finished 2-1 against the other Texas programs, Rice won the division. Fly it in the end zone every time Rice plays a C-USA Texas team until one beats them. After the game the winning team runs to the end zone and claims the flag. Whoever has it at the end of the season, starts the next year with it.

I think Fox Sports Southwest would love it.

RE: CUSA Rivalry Trophies
We might get CSX railroad company to sponsor a railroad themed traveling trophy in honor of the Chesapeake and Ohio Railroad which was built by Collis P Huntington from Richmond to Huntington, and then from Richmond to Hampton Roads in the Norfolk area. The legendary John Henry supposedly died while building this RR in the mountains of West Virginia while battling a new steam powered shovel.

I know...too much history. I'm pressing a bit, but I do see a budding rivalry with ODU and Marshall.

I agree. I think the ODU / Marshall rivalry is gaining steam by the minute.

Works for us West Virginians, but not sure about those Norfolk people.

Did you really just Pull out Molon Labe and suggest that as a travelling flag?
