It's the first time I've been on your campus since 10 years ago. With my luck it starts raining and the middle of the campus is torn up. Oh well, my lousy luck. It is still a beautiful campus though!!

RE: UTEP fans
Has anyone heard when all the construction will be completed? I was reading at UTEP on the move, that parts of centennial plaza would be opening this week. I haven't been on campus since the wnit semifinal, so I have no idea how progress is going.

The campus has changed quite a bit in the last 10 years. I graduated back in 2002 and it didn't look anything like this:

I have and will be there tomorrow morning before heading to Las Cruces. I look forward to seeing it when construction is complete.

Wow, it's amazing that I live in El Paso and didn't realize just how beautiful the campus is. I've been to most of it but I've missed out on some areas. Truly unique and wonderful.
Thanks Project.

Neat! I love visiting other universities' campuses, and I have to say I enjoy (but still hate!) WKU's and would love the opportunity to seek another rival's in UTEP's. :)

To answer the original subject line...

UTEP fans are a definite asset to this league. They travel well, are passionate, and had a terrific BB season to enjoy. We broke bread with UTEPsal, and was happy to share our pregame meal.............

I would wish all member schools had such a solid and loyal following.

RE: UTEP fans
The UTEP campus has a lot of beautiful buildings (at least I like them - the Tibetan architecture is very unique, but somehow still has a "Southwestern" feel).

It is however a very "car centric" campus. Most buildings have significant parking spaces and car access close to the building, which makes for a lot of car dodging while walking the campus (there are sidewalks of course, but the shortest route often seems to be across a street or parking lot). Maybe that has been improved with some of the newer construction, but it used to be a very hectic campus to walk during classes.

And they are only halfway across the country to 50% of the league.

Once all the construction is complete the inner campus will not have any vehicle traffic and the problem you mentioned will be gone. The construction has been a big pain but it will be a huge benefit when it is done.
