Georgia Southern would gladly play in the Independence Bowl this year since no one seens to want to go to the Shreveport unless they have no other options to go bowling.

The amount of alcohol to get you through the home games the 3 years since our last home win can make you delusional at times. But it isn't all bad. If we don't win one this year, I hear they are adding rehab as a perk to the season ticket packages for next season.

That and security is... lackadaisical at best. I could put a handle of bourbon under my shirt and not get stopped.

Just wanted to make sure, but the 4th SBC bowl won't go be available until 2015? So in the future the SBC will have 11 (maybe 12) fighting for 4 bowls.

I can easily see in 5 years the SBC having upto 6 members go bowling. 4 SBC bowls, 1 fill-in/rotation spot, 1 contract bowl (do not doubt this).

2015 is going to see 5 SBC teams go bowling and one of them will be GS. Way, way to early prediction.

My predictions would be:
1. ULL - NOB or Go Daddy
2. USA - NOB or Camellia
3. stAte - NOB, Camellia or Go Daddy (whatever is left over after ULL/USA)
4. Troy - Maybe somewhere
5. Texas St -Like Troy maybe somewhere

I wouldn't call us a underdog to USA yet... There's a lot of questions they have to answer to this year and they are being hyped up... They might or might not be as good as everyone says. I would not say for sure Troy will be the underdog

How about a perfect scenario ..............

1. Louisiana - Access Bowl
2. USA - Go Daddy Bowl
3. stAte - N.O. Bowl
4. Troy - Camellia Bowl
5. Texas St or ULM - Independence Bowl

The funny part about the whole pre-season thing is everybody and their mama is calling for the Cajuns to be the champs already...and just because Corey is gone, y'all thing Troy can be dismissed. This is a bowl season for Troy.

Geez, Troy does have a great schedule.

Louisiana, Ark State, USA, Troy, Tex State yep 5 this year.....and by the way pretty impressive that any school on pre-season ranking would hit in to the 40's and be ranked above Miami etc....congrats on pre season ranking to Louisiana and hope that our season is going well enough to have our last game at home with them mean a lot.....good luck and go SBC.

Would think Louisiana has as good a chance of going to the Access Bowl this year
as any team. Marshall is going to have a lot of wins, but Ohio has had their number
the last few years. Some AAC might be favored but am pulling for the Cajuns.
