It was a question, not an explanation, video game boy.
Read closer (punctuation, e.g.) so you don't hurt yourself jumping to conclusions.
LOL. Yup. You are so right. I must have jumped to a conclusion because you asked a rhetorical question that fits your negative Fleck narrative that you've been posting about for 18 months.
Silly me. You asked a legit question that you wanted everyone to answer.

Well....I'd agree with that. I view this place as DB's personal play land at times. Take it too seriously and a person engages in a day long pissing match that ends up in the same place it began...end result is a headache.

Yeah its really sad that we have a message board that gets dominated by the same nonsense all the time. I really want Fleck to be successful because he coaches our team, I imagine we're all the same in that regard (hopefully). Lets move on this is a new year.

Gentlemen,
Did you see on the MAC Board that Coach Martin of Miami was saying he doesn't understand "Row the Boat", and that he is anti any slogans, or statements on the walls, etc. Pretty brassy of him. Does Western play Miami this year? That could be bulletin board material.

Our bulletin board is actually too full of slogans to post the incendiary remarks from rivals. We could give a guy a bigger fake piece of meat to run out of the tunnel that week though just to demonstrate we are that much hungrier to beat Miami.

Anyone else kind of shocked at how Chuck Martin was portrayed by the media? He cracked a few jokes about how inept Miami was last year.

What's to take seriously? You say nothing of substance and what you do say is a never ending repeat of the same thing.

Sometimes a blunt and honest coach makes for good entertainment, a la Spurrier (love 'em or hate 'em). Stir things up. But the guy's taking over a program that may actually be in more on-the-field shambles than our own. Pretty brassy, indeed, to be serving up this fodder before he's coached one snap at MU.
Ken, to answer your question, we do play at Miami on Nov 1.

That's the type of brass I like in a coach though, if one had a choice.

I think he has a right to talk and be cocky. He left a program that is one of the biggest franchises in college football, taking a 30% pay cut, to turn around a dismal program.
I liked Martin when he was at GVSU and like him more now.

Sounds like Fleck, except substitute "biggest franchises in college football" to "NFL franchise".

Not even close
Losing NFL franchise versus nationally ranked BCS program.
Offensive coordinator versus positions coach
One takes over an 0-12 program while the other a 4-8 with some life.
One has proven HC experience with one of the top DII programs in the country. The other was a DI OC for a day before resigning.
Not much in common there.

RE: MAC Media Day
If our head coach (whether it was still Cubit, or Fleck, or whoever) started mocking EMU's "gimmicky" grey turf and Factory moniker at a press conference, Day 1 on the job, I'd cringe.
At least it provides added spice and entertainment to the MAC, I suppose.

Everything you stated up there is subjective and debatable IMO. Two ways of looking at it. You look at it one way, I look at it another.

RE: MAC Media Day
Martin has never built anything.
He's coached in two programs that are self sustaining. A trained monkey could get enough talent at ND to succeed. And BK built a foundation at GV (tradition, superior GLIAC facilities, and a fertile recruiting base within a 50 mile radius) that will continue to prosper as long as they stay in the GLIAC.
