Is Martin making up stories about Fuente becoming a Black Bear?

Geoff asked him if he was scared of being demoralized at UCLA. Unreal.

Is it possible? Yes. Do you ask that question? No.

Fuente talked about the Football by Fuente coming up tomorrow.

Said no decision yet on Robert Davis status.

Said he was proud of Keiwone Malone, who is set to graduate.

Talked about seeing Manziel in high school while at TCU.

Poor interview by Geoff. Bad and/or wandering questions. I remembered why I don't listen to his show unless I want to hear what a guest has to say.

It sounded more like it was an arranged interview to advertise for the Football by Fuente camp.

Not really a bad question considering how they basically folded their tent after losing to Louisville last season.

That was a completely different issue. The Louisville loss basically knocked them out of bowl competition. They played their hearts out in the game and were undone by a bogus fumble call by the officials. After that they were gassed and emotionally had a let down since they didn't have a chance at a bowl.

They will not be demoralized, no matter what happens at UCLA.

And it was a question meant not to inform Tiger fans but to needlessly prod. It would be a wasted question regardless of the head coach from any school interviewed.

Memphis sports shows are terrible compared to those I have heard in other cities (chiefly Nashville). I prefer listening to the Nashville sports radio than listen to Memphis sports radio on line despite my interest in the Tigers and the Griz.

Does nashville still have that sports radio show put on by the drummer of the black crowes? That was majorly entertaining - he'd have on Bobby Keys (rolling stones saxist) in the same show that they'd be talking football and baseball.

I totally hate memphis sport radio. Tour me they are all want to be national radio host that don't give a sh@t about memphis. Although I hate 680 am, I cant even go to 560am. If it wasn't for boards like this I would lose my mind. It's bad to live in a city with a top college team of memphis's stature and only here about the NBA and the sec or Ole miss constantly

No offense, I know that I don't post a lot, but how can a city like memphis have 2 major sports channels and every damn show on both channels literally talk about the same nothing stuff. Not only that the host actually sat(im not a homer but...) anytime they compliment the Tigers. Thanks tigersboard, but doesn't it seem that they actually go out of their way to avoid to much tiger talk? Especially any aac talk.

Yeah, I think it just went national too, and that's probably not in the top 3 in Nashville. Nashville sports radio is some of the best in the country. They have tons of great hosts, very funny, crazy ratings, and tons of diverse fans that call in.

It's painful to listen to sports radio in Memphis, when compared to here. Just on different levels. The only problem is they rarely talk about Memphis. I wish Pastner and Fuente would do more interviews here.

Nashville sports talk doesn't give a rats a$$ about the University of Memphis. If they ever interview Josh or Justin it's because they are having a stellar year, or maybe Memphis coming to Nashville to play Vandy or MTSU.

RE: Martin / Calkins to interview Fuente at 9:20
Dallas sports talk radio isn't much better when you compare the hosts. You get the current or former sports writers, ex coaches, players, etc. The only thing that makes it somewhat better is that they have access to the owners, managers, coaches of the Cowboys, Rangers, Mavs and Stars as well as the Big XII and SMU. So there is more to talk about but the quality is about the same.

I was really disappointed after I had been here about a year and had a chance to sample them all to form an opinion. On a couple of particular stations in the afternoon, during my one hour commute I can go that whole time and barely hear anything about sports, just yada yada yada.
