Fancy color printed tickets cost more $$. Save a buck where you can save a buck.

Devil's advocate... Fancy color printed tickets say big-time football program. Entice the fan on the fence to buy in, and buy in early.

I guess not... I ordered mine on April 17th.

Unfortunately the Tiger Ticket Office doesn't print those tickets themselves... They have to send off for them... hence they had to set a cutoff for the original order.

It could definitely be argued that they should have placed an additional order for ticket renewals that came in later. I guess it depends on what kind of contract or SLA they have with the printing company.

RE: Football tickets on their way!
We renewed earlier this year than the last several years attempting to get the "Nice" custom printed tickets in person. The ticket office informed us that we were within the cutoff to get the ones we wanted but we didn't either.

When I checked at the ticket office, we were told that they were sent out in batches. It depended on when yours was sent off.

I guess I need to pull the trigger earlier but I really didn't consider when to renew until they had set the prices . . .

same here. I know we renewed late, but still renewed before the actual renewal deadline. We got the paper tickets too, no pretty ones.

Oh well, will let us in the gate just the same.

In same boat.

It can't be based on level...

RE: Football tickets on their way!
We renewed on 6/23 at the ticket office so we could change the number of seats and make sure we kept end seats. They offered to print our tickets then. We asked about the ones with the nice UofM graphics and were informed that June 30th was the cutoff so we should get those if we chose to wait.

It looks like the actual cutoff was a might earlier than that or we were delegated to a later batch.

If you want the nice looking tickets for hoops you'd better renew as soon as the email hits your inbox. I would bet the cutoff for those are mid September sometime.

Thanks for bring basketball up once again in a football thread. As long as we are talking minor sports, I think the track and field tickets need to be renewed by April 1st to get the fancy tickets as well.

The fact that you question that basketball is a "minor sport" demonstrates the delusion the average Memphis basketball fan suffers.

You lost me.

I was wondering about your use of the the phrase "as long as we are talking minor sports" as if you were inferring basketball is indeed a minor sport.

I was "implying". You were "inferring". You inferred correctly.

If you were a Highland Hundred member you could have ordered them all at the same time. That's how I got mine.

I received my tickets to the UCLA game yesterday. I'm chomping at the bit: game tickets + flight tickets to LA + rental car for driving back + all hotels are now "good to go".
