RE: 2014 MAC Standings: Predictions
I think WMU's record won't be better, but a shade lower. The MAC's going to be tougher, @NIU + @Toledo + 2 Impossible OOC games + 1 Extremely difficult away game OOC. Pretty much expect to go 7-5, even being better -- 8-4 at best. Again, as far as expectations are concerned.
I would agree -- CMU is the only team that is aiming to be worse. I think Ball State is in a changeup year and should be better. EMU can only be a bit better. Miami-OH has a great coach and should be about .500, and UMass I think is going to take a good step foward jockying around .500. Kent has a good D, and with a new OC -- I think they can only get better. Buffalo, with their newer coach settling should be better and more stable. Bowden's going to make Akron better and live up to their full potential I believe.
It's going to be a tough year in the MAC. Hopefully we can utilize it to get some upsets around the conference against the P5s.

Can't say I'm surprised at a "smoke and mirrors" season for NIU.

1. Northern Illinois 10-2, (8-0)
NIU has a pretty friendly schedule this season. They will still be better than most people think even without Jordan Lynch.
I think we see a repeat of last year's MAC championship game in Detroit, same result. BGSU over NIU in a close one.

NIU fans didn't even see 10-2 being a possibility:

And just because I want to enjoy rubbing it into Major...

All-MAC Defenders DT Hester Soph and WLB Sylvestre Sr. return.
At RB Toledo returns:
Hunt 6.3 ypc-2nd Team Frosh All-American
Jones-Moore 7.2 ypc
Remy 5.2 ypc
McDowell 8.1 ypc
Pringle 9.2 ypc

Hokeiness...I was wrong. Didn't realize we were that deep. Reloading on the run.
OH the next few years are going to be fun, WMU is our new dance partner, UT is not fun any more. It will be NIU or WMU. UT this was their year and it didn't happen,CMU love their talent , but ENOS is ENOS. So your rock star recruits against Huskie football!
