Really hope to see a lot of AAC visiting fans. If any of you go, be sure to go about 3 hours before kickoff to walk around and visit all of the area tailgates, especially the new Cougar Square/Alley. There'll be a lot of Texas BBQ aroma in the air.

Yeah, I'm just breaking balls. I like it. Well done!

Serious questions though, 1. What is with the gray in the middle of the suites? 2. Why is the gray wall asymmetrical near the 50yd line in the suite level?

That is the press box level. Those gray parts roll up to allow TV and still cameras to shoot the game unobstructed. I don't know why they are asymmetrical.

40K. Might be a smidge more when it's all over.

As mentioned, approximately 40K actual seats + lots of SRO room: 1) in the open NW corner, and 2) along all the open concourses.

We poured the footings and foundations to build a 60K seat stadium, so future expansion will be easy. We actually designed a 60K seat stadium, and then cut it back to 40K.

The only side that's "finished" is the home (South) side. However, in any expansion, we would convert the press box on the South side (right above the suites) to more suites. We would then build a new press box elsewhere.

Just to add to CougarRed comments.

I think this was one of the most thought out stadiums built. Our AD basically said this is what we want the "finished" product to look like, however we have the funds and support right now to build this. Things that others have i.e. ribbon board, more big screens, shade, several elevators, concourses on all levels etc aren't in the stadium yet. However, the foundation to add those and complete them in the offseason is in place now. Whenever we decide to do a upgrade we will not have to move off campus again.

Smart way to think into the future while not taking on to much debt upfront.

True. The stadium has gobs and gobs of room for upgrades and increased capacity. The planning that went into it was really something special. Our AD and President have a vision for us, and this stadium is true to that vision.

I really like how the design makes the stadium appear larger than it is. Putting a section of seats on top of the box seats and having three small tiers on the opposite side raise the profile. It looks really nice.

I guess expansion would be filling in the second bowl in that one small section and then continuing the third level around the stadium?

The home side is in its final version.

Take that top level and extend the difference around the stadium and that should give you an idea of where a majority of the additional 20k would come from.
