Isn't 20,000 a surprise at any FIU game? According to Wikipedia they've only hit 20k three times in their history(giving them the benefit of rounding up).
Historical Attendance at FIU Stadium
Five most well attended games
Rank Attendance Date Game result
1 22,682 October 1, 2011 FIU 27, Duke 31 (2011 Homecoming)
2 20,205 September 12, 2011 FIU 17, UCF 10
3 19,872 September 11, 2010 FIU 14, Rutgers 19
4 17,568 September 1, 2011 FIU 41, North Texas 16
5 17,378 November 12, 2011 FIU 41, Florida Atlantic 7 (Shula Bowl X)
that really sucks.

Wow you really got me with the "there and their".
Back on topic in 2009 when the Shula bowl was last played at then dolphins stadium it was 3 to 1 FAU fans.
FIU will most likely be 1-4 by the time this game with the one win being a thrilling double overtime win against Wagner. FAU will travel at few thousand to that game. So I'm sure we will out number the dozens of FIU fans that still care about football by that time.
