The same thing happens with Virginia and the Eastern Shore. No one ever remembers it is part of Virginia. Major difference though is the Eastern Shore is not a top 5-10 thing that Virginia is known for.

We left the Outer Banks for you guys. We didn't want to steal the whole state from you.

Seriously though, I don't even like that we're using the state too. ECU, UNC, NCSU, and Charlotte are now using it in some form. The state should just save money and consolidate all our marketing departments together if using the same idea at all four schools is the best we can do.

There's a subtle nod in the background (pic of team with trophy), but yeah I hear ya. Seems like it's missing something along the bottom. This may just be the wallpaper version and the final poster print will have some additional details.

Does ODU have one released? I was not a big fan of last years. Maybe I missed it.

I like that Rice one but it looks more like a desktop wallpaper. But.. that's not a bad thing. Having the football team makes awesome wallpapers with the schedule is a good tool for getting dates out there.

I made a nice one for my company softball team and then forced all their computers to set the wallpaper to it with the schedule and small font a long the bottom with "Now there is no excuse for missing the games."

Rice always gets it right. I remember last year's huge helmet one was top notch as well.
