Quality of life is a much bigger problem but targeting a racial slur is much easier for the population to get their heads around.

No.

Quote:Is the Redskins controversy more important to white liberals as it lets liberals publicly proclaim how much they care without having to do any of the heavy lifting required to help bring Indians out of poverty?

Yes.

What racial slur? Where? This wasn't considered a racial slur until just recently.

Slur, slur, and more slur...............Doesn't really matter what the Wash. FB team nicknames itself....I know of NO ONE who has been held back, diminished, or truly hurt by the name Redskins.....and if that offends someone <----too damn bad.

I agree. Which is why I don't understand why they simply didn't change the name sooner.

This thread is just another testament to how wedded to racism the right-wingers around here are. It's really pathetic.

I don't expect a coward like you would answer the question below, but just for giggles, why don't you answer it and prove you're not a coward.

Quote:I'm sure you were just horrified when you found out the code name for bin Laden was Geronimo.

And then there are the death machines like the Tomahawk missile and Apache helicopter that I have no doubt you've protested the military over, right?

Like heart attacks? An indian is used to promote something that increases cholesterol and obesity and you're how mad at them?
