Eric Page Sighting
FYI - Think Eric Page was in the Central Ave. Chipolte yesterday. Looked to be visiting with an employee. When he left he was driving a very sharp small two-door Benz with FLA plates. Looked in great shape.04-bow

RE: Eric Page Sighting
Haven't heard much about him down here. Although I did read something that sounded as though Lovie Smith would like to upgrade the PR position that Page handled last season. I know they drafted a few guys who also handled punts in college, so it appears that Page may have his work cut out for him making the Bucs roster. Hopefully, he gets a chance to show what he can do at WR. He made some nice plays last year when given the opportunity at WR.

A Benz? Professional athletes are notorious for blowing their money and ending up broke a few years after they retire. No names mentioned, but I have personal knowledge of one current NFL player who makes about a million a year who is burning through almost all of it as fast as he makes it. He will be destitute when his career ends. I asked someone who is on his payroll why someone does not tell him to stop spending money and he said that anyone who told him that would kicked off the gravy train.

A benz lease would run about $300-$700 a month. A repo or an estate sale
car you can get at a decent price. Use to buy car through the dealers' auction, now that's really cheap.

Just to be clear...this car was NOT "our there". Smallish sports car with what appeared to be stock wheels...nothing outrageous by any means. Conducting himself in a very modest manner for sure. Good luck to Eric and Go Rockets!

RE: Eric Page Sighting
Let's be clear perhaps none of know the story behind Page allegedly driving a Benz. I recall colleague commenting on Bruce Gradkowski's Rolex after visiting his restaurant. In his opinion it seemed over-the-top wear such a pricey time-piece. My reply to his indignation was; another much more highly paid NFL football player also happen to have the number 7 jersey made an offer to trade one $10,000 watch for jersey number 7. Bruce accepted and that's why he doesn't wear #7 anymore.

That's really sad to hear. Hopefully EP is making good decisions in that regard and has somebody talented and trustworthy helping him with his finances. I always got the impression he seemed like a pretty conservative, down-to-earth guy.

It's a car people.....cheez
I low line Mercedes or a top of the line Ford cost about the same. Getting drilled by gunners on punt returns has to have a few perks and a nice car is one of them

the high end cars go for reasonable price at auction
can't exactly expect them to move fast on your average used car lot

You can follow him on Instagram and see what he drives, etc....I believe it's an AMG...C or E class. Not a run of the mill Benz, but nothing overly extravagant. The biggest eye opener to me while following his Instagram account was the amount of Loius Vuitton crap he was buying earlier this year...way over the top...belts, bags, shoes, etc. I'm sure it's tough to show some restraint when you are surrounded by other teammates with even more cash...I'm sure everyone is trying to outdo the other. It's his money and he's free to spend it however he pleases....I just worry that he will blow through his money before he is established in the NFL. He's no shoe in to make the Bucs roster this year.

No argument here...just trying to add a little accuracy to some of the earlier comments...I could care less what the guy does, bro.

He can play in Canada and land on his feet if need be.
Hope he stays healthy.
He was an absolutely electrifying Rocket.

No one is trying to tell him how to live. We're just saying we hope he doesn't turn out like that majority of former NFL players who go bankrupt within a few yrs of leaving the NFL.

And I highly, highly, highly doubt he reads and listens to what we say here. We can all say that he should save and invest his money until were blue in the face, but it won't make a difference.
