WOW! Very sad news! Def' not the way to get this new home off the ground on the right foot...
The Houston Chronicle is reporting it as a suicide.


HOUSTON – A female student was found dead Monday morning at the new University of Houston football stadium, officials said.

According to the UH Police, she was dead by the time construction workers arrived Monday morning.

They are back to work now, but construction stopped for a number of hours beneath that new scoreboard. That’s where workers found the student’s body.

Her identity has not been released yet, but UH Police think she fell from the top of the stadium. How she got there and why is part of their investigation, but they see no signs of foul play.

Hate to say it, but it wouldn't surprise me if alcohol is involved. You know drunken dare gone wrong. Very sad.

Suicide is terrible

Don't see it as a suicide, girls in general tend to over dose on something when committing or attempting suicide. And, not do something that would damage their body appearance.

Wow. Sad to hear. If it is a suicide, a similar situation happened at UF when a young man jumped to his death from Ben Hill Griffin.

I saw a report it was a suicide so tread carefully

Its always sad to hear that someone went through such a difficult time that they saw suicide as their way out. I'm sure friends and family are heartbroken.

Oh, not even close to saying isn't tragic what ever happened, with foul play not being looked at it's one or the other suicide or tragic accident. But, to me I would lean toward the later just based on statistics with drug OD's being 60% and hanging second, pesticides 3rd, jumping 4th, fire arms 5th.

Several years ago while visiting family near Syracuse, We went to what is now the DestiNY Mall in Syracuse. It has a six or seven story atrium with outside glass elevators. Just before We arrived a 20 year old Woman was looking out over that Atrium from the 4th floor then just hopped up on the railing turned around backwards and leaned back to Her Death. I also had a Female H.S. classmate whom had everything going for Her and had a full scholarship to WKU. She jumped out of a dorm high rise window to Her Death. Sadly it does happen.

Yes, sadly it does, a classmate of mine set herself on fire. What was worse she had tried several other times to kill herself and no one stepped up to try and help her. It is tragic for a lost life so young.

Had a close relative who tried to end his life recently. Fortunately he stopped himself before completely letting go. Can't imagine what goes through one's head. Prayers to her family and friends.

Definitely sad to hear of this tragedy. The former cop in me has to ask if there's anything new on this in the news? Prayers go out to the entire UH community.

Allow me to pass along a saying I learned during my time wearing a badge: GOD BLESS THE SURVIVORS! It was meant to pray for those left behind, so that they fimd peace. Mine aches, as well for the same reasons, seems like she was a lovely young woman, could be anyone's daughter, may she RIP

Very sad, no matter what the circumstances were... I'd guess kids fooling around up there and an accident occurred. Thoughts and prayers for the family.
