Some of comments made by Memphis fans in this thread are not representative of the sum of Tiger fans. Braggadocious remarks are unseemly and unwarranted in any situation, but especially when directed to a program struggling for sustained success.

with that being said no team has a big enough advantage to go and talk smack because you might just get a wake up call come regular season.
it honestly wouldn't be that shocking if Connecticut beat UCF or Memphis beat Cincinnati or if USF beat Houston. ect.
can't wait to see the faces on the fans of these overly confident fans when they get "upset" .

I'll bet any amount you want that ECU won't beat Memphis in football this season.

Agree. Hell, almost any football smack talk in this conference is silly, but Memphis-UConn is beyond the pale.
I'd say, based on preseason rankings and recent history, we all know Houston, UC, UCF and ECU should be pretty decent. The rest of us, you can probably toss in a hat, and it could wind up with any outcome.
Heck, as a non-delusional Memphis fan, we could wind up anywhere from 1-11 to 7-5 or 8-4, at best. We lucked out by missing both UCF and ECU this season.
And nobody this year is an automatic win or loss. I think it will be entertaining, but I'm concerned that we will beat up on each other enough at the top, that a team from another G5 conference grabs the access bowl slot.
Oh, and the smack talk in this thread is some weak sauce, lol, on both sides.
Here's to both programs being bowl eligible this year.
Those girls in your sig are more manly than Obama.

if you are really curious, this is what it looks like
@JonRothstein 17m
Would put Temple in the next tier of AAC teams after SMU. Owls should be right there with UConn, Cincinnati, and Memphis. Improved team.

That's good news, as much as i didn't want to agree he was spot on about last years team, i hope he's right again.
