Very moving; we are/were very fortunate to have had him on the periphery of our lives. He means so much more to many of us than what he did on the FB field for Memphis, probably more so.

My favorite Tiger since I started following the Tigers (1987).

Great story. Met Sandra at Ole Miss one year. Their family was tailgating next to us. The rains came and they did not have a tent, so we invited them to join us.

Super family. I am proud that DeAngelo was and is a Tiger and that his family was part of the Tiger family too.

Mine too and that is across all sports. A football guy taking that honor at Memphis is a pretty big deal in my opinion.

Great article from Deangelo. His mom was an incredible person. So is Deangelo.

On a side note, we've known for so long how awesome of a person Deangelo is. It's good to see that everyone else outside of Memphis is realizing it. His mom certainly raised him the right way.

I met Sandra once tailgating but I got to actually sit and talk with her (and DW's family) riding the tram to the Motor City Bowl, she really was a positive, fun loving person even with all she was battling.

At the risk of looking like a Ole Miss student, i think I'll wear pink to the "peay" game.
