It's the Eagles turn now. Same start. General look at University and Athletics facilities. Will start diving into football tomorrow.

RE: Georga Southern Feature Week
Why would you use the old photo of the stadium to introduce GS? Personally I like the photo but if your goal is to jazz the fan base with the new members why not use the one with the $20 million in upgrades. The photo of the baseball "field". Really? Excellent photo of the inside of Hanner our greatest opportunity of improvement. Nice work but I do understand. 04-cheers

Are the upgrades to your stadium complete? I haven't really been following too closely, but I thought they were still in the works.

Why wouldn't a photo of the baseball field be included?

The seating expansion is complete. FOC is supposed to be done in a couple of months, but the outside is pretty much done outside of landscaping. The plaza and "Field of Dreams" will be the last big things left outside before much longer. Scoreboard panels and speakers went in last week and should be finishing up soon.

I think he was taking exception to the use of field for baseball instead of stadium, but I'm not sure. I was confused by that as well.

Everyone has a field. We have a very nice stadium complex and the photo didn't show it at all.

That's the argument as I saw it.

It's a Georgia State perspective. Georgia Southern should probably be happy their stadium wasn't shown as a
cow pasture and App State should probably be happy our stadium wasn't shown as the side of a mountain. Even
though it seems well written and pretty thoroughly fair, personally was not expecting a fluff piece for either of us
and would have been surprised if either of us got one.

I mean, it's clearly a picture of whatever it is we're talking about and I don't think it would be fair to GS to show pictures of a work in progress. This is what there is now. It looks like field has been updated to stadium. We're not going to include a photo gallery of each venue. So sorry if the photo included doesn't meet your expectations. Whatever that means.

None of this is meant to shoot anyone down. Just informational pieces as some folks don't know a whole lot about your programs.

Don't be to hard on Chris GS fans. He's doing this on his own time and most likely doing the best job he can.
PS Chris - Before you do the piece on GSU, (oppps GS) football please check the Playoff record books.

Yeah, I am too hard on Chris. Calling him a good fair writer.
Sorry Chris.
Personally think he has a lot of talent.

When I first saw the title of this thread, I thought of the old 'Creature Features'. I guess it still could 'somewhat' apply.

That's right Klak. It's pretty obvious but given the target reader I get it. 04-cheers

To be fair, if GaSt's baseball facility is his only point of reference, he probably didn't recognize an actual stadium complex. To GaSt, a college baseball "stadium" and "field" are one in the same.

smh, Thank you for taking your time to do a write-up about us. You'll probably be one of the first write-ups to not accidentally call us Georgia State or the Panthers, haha.

Just stop it. If you saw what TXST had before our current baseball stadium you would spit out your coffee and die laughing. There's a picture somewhere and Ive posted it on forums before but I'm too lazy to go looking again.

Am told reporters used rocks as paperweights. Fun times and this was as late as 2008.

Wow... It's like Wrigley or Camden Yards, only nicer.
