My thoughts exactly.

I posted pictures, but also said the pictures he used don't bother me.

That's the argument as I saw it.

That's right Klak. It's pretty obvious but given the target reader I get it. 04-cheers

It's really not that hard to figure out. Google J.I. Clements field and you will see that I used the first picture that came up. I did scroll briefly to try to find a picture from the perspective of the field but didn't see one.

I do go on later in the article to specifically point out how nice the baseball facilities are, however.

Football article will be up this evening. To whoever it was that said to look at playoff records I only briefly touch on Georgia Southern's history and focused more on the transition currently. I do pay homage to their success, but not in detail.

Excellent write up and very well thought out.. 04-cheers

If Fritz can compete well out of the gate we have a good shot of having a 5 win season. If he struggles the win column will likely get worse as the season goes on. much like CM last year. CF has one season to get his game plan in order. Whatever the case it's going to be a fun ride.

Solid write-up Chris! My only comment is I think Edwin Jackson is going to shock some people this year at the linebacker position. Fritz has even mentioned that hes picking him to be an early all-conference type player. That says a lot IMO because I know how good some of the linebackers in the SBC are.

RE: Georga Southern Feature Week
Thought the article was well written and a fair assessment, but I have a little trouble w/the reckoning on our offensive line. From a size perspective, the two OL rosters (current - no incoming freshman included) look like this:

GSU Panthers – 2014 Roster – Offensive Line
65 Taylor Evans OL 6-4 285
64 Akil Hawkins OL 6-2 282
65 Michael Ivory OL 6-5 360
77 A.J. Kaplan OL 6-4 295
63 Davis Moore OL 6-4 275
56 Alex Stoehr OL 6-2 275
83 Sebastian Willer OL 6-5 255
70 Steve Wolgamott OL 6-6 315
74 Daniel Seigler OL 6-5 250
58 Jah-Mai Davidson T 6-4 280
59 Garrett Gorringe G 6-4 280
50 Tim Wynn G 6-2 280

Georgia Southern Eagles – 2014 Roster – Offensive Line
53 Jeff Ward OL 5-11 276
58 Garrett Frye OL 6-4 286 *
60 Andy Kwon OL 6-2 291
63 Darrien Forman OL 6-4 311 *
64 Hunter Lamar OL 6-3 291
65 Sean Gaddy OL 6-1 275
66 Jackson Morris OL 6-3 269
68 Ryan Northup OL 6-3 285
69 Cole Peeples OL 6-3 300
70 Raymond Klugey OL 6-3 281 *
72 Chartavious Danzy OL 6-0 271
73 Maurice Hunt OL 6-1 288
74 Logan Daves OL 6-2 314
75 Manrey Saint Amour OL 6-1 282 *
76 Trevor McBurnett OL 6-2 310 *
78 Deigo Rodriguez OL 6-3 269
79 Heath Warren OL 6-3 251
*Project starters – 1,470 lbs. as depicted

Don't know who their projected starters are except for Wolgamott, but I think we pair up pretty well. Also - if Daves starts over Foreman, we pick up 4-5 lbs. and I know Garrett is currently @ 291 lbs. Michael Ivory is an outlier at 360 lbs.; I'm sure he'll see playing time if he has the quickness and strength to go along with his size.

Just because we ran the TO and concentrated on cut blocking doesn't mean our guys forgot everything they learned in HS and before...I'd bet 90%+ were brought up in a spread-option based offense that didn't use the cut block as the primary means of engagement for OL.

The additions of GS and App State to the conference have made this place almost unbearable. There are many great fans from both bases, but the extremes are quite.... errrrr.... extreme and vocal.
