I was disappointed with TXST after the way they started the OOC year off.
Of course, when the coach is consistently changing the line-up instead of sticking with the one that was giving you those wins, well, what can you expect?

We never settled on one line-up either. Thing is it kind of worked. Could have been worse with all the new players we had.

Most Disappointing. USA and Troy. I know both teams lost a lot, but Troy had zero pitching depth, and USA's offense would have struggled against some little league teams.

Most Surprising: ASU and UTA. SBC didn't expect much out of ASU, and I fully remember sitting at the Creighton game in March discussing whether or not we would win 10 league games this year, with the general answer being No.

UTA was picked high, but I expected nothing out of the Mavericks after our series in Arlington. I remember thinking that our tiebreak with them could be huge in the race for 8th with UALR.

Best hitting: Cajuns: That lineup is insane

Best Pitching: Cajuns...especially when they got their bullpen worked out.

Next year: USA, Troy, Texas State, and ASU return a lot. Georgia Southern returns several from their Regional team as well. Cajuns lose a ton, but should be contenders because of who they are. I don't expect much out of Georgia State, UALR, and ULM. Not sure on App and UTA. I expect 3 Regional teams next year at least out of the first 6 teams I mentioned.

Cajuns signed a nice little class. But no doubt you do not lose what we are losing and come back as good or better, unless of course you are Cajun Softball.

TXST loses 6 seniors and a possibility of 3-4 to the draft. We do have one pitcher who is a redshirt Jr but graduated. No word on whether he stays (graduate school) or we lose him. Then again, he could also be drafted.
So it ain't like we have 1-2 guys leaving. It could almost be 1/3 of the roster and a whole lot of starters.
