They are the most arrogant and ignorant people on the planet. I'm not talking specifically about their football fans or how they treat you on game day. I'm talking about how they live their life.

You know what I'm talking about if you have ever had a few in your office.

He's not kidding one of my buddies who goes to A&M got so butt hurt over an Aggie joke another one of my friends made that he pretty much just quit talking to him. I know thats just one example but its more of the norm than the exception. The fans take things quite personally and get very defensive over trivial comments.

The irony here is that 5 years ago A&M was my favorite college team.

They wouldn't survive on this board then.

If I told you everything that their fans said to us my comment would likely be blocked from the board but one of the cleaner comments someone threatened to rip my buddies jersey off and slit his throat.... They were classless jerks the entire time and I was so glad to get a win and get out of Statesboro. GS fans that I've met in Boone have been great however but there's a sour taste in my mouth about many of their fans.

Best- Virginia Tech. Fans were great. Very respectful even though we took a dreadful beat down on the field that day. Also very solid all around gameday atmosphere.

Georgia Southern wasn't an away game for you in 2011.

I think he means 2012. That's the same year I took my first trip to Paulson. Like I said I don't recall a single ill word being said in my direction. Granted, we went straight from an App tailgate, to a GaSo alumni lot, to the stadium.

I will admit I was disappointed in the stadium's size and atmosphere. Paulson looks WAY bigger in pictures than it does in real life and all this time I thought Paulson was on par with The Rock in noise and atmosphere and it really wasn't even close.

It was still a good experience for me though and I will be back. Can't beat a night in Savannah and a day of rivalry football.

The angle of the stands had a lot to do with the noise concentration, but even before the changes, we've gotten to a measured 110dB on the field. We can be loud but it really only seems like we do when someone does something to piss us off.

As for size, being in the stands you don't get the effect, but being down in a bowl makes the stands loom over you down on the field. Add in the deck and new building closing off the East endzone, you're gonna have a different opinion this year.
