JMU (948)
UL (947)
USA (940)
TXST (939)
Troy (937)

App State (922)
ULM (880)

The academic powerhouse that is James Madison.

I'm glad that you mention that the men's basketball list above shows a multi-year rate. ULM men's basketball team had an APR of 975 for the 2013-2014 academic year which put us in the upper 10% (that 880 showing will disappear after next year's multi-year rates are published). The ULM football team is shown to have a 962 for the past academic year in a breakdown chart I saw from the NCAA so I don't understand the discrepancy.

I pulled this straight from the NCAA website.

Yea, but you gotta remember JMU requires their athletes take real classes. 03-lmfao This board desperately need to add a eye roll smiley.

I thought our basketball APR was awful. ULM's is 42 points lower?

Coaching changes are usually APR killers, kid doesn't like the new coach, the new coach doesn't think another kid can cut the mustard and wants room to sign someone he likes better. Usually creates transfer hell and clobbers the APR.

Not really. If they transfer while in good academic standing (2.5 or 2.6 is the mark), they don't hurt the APR, regardless of whether they end up graduating.
