In regards to that ,ACC and Big 10 are discussing scheduling each other. What two conferences should the Sunbelt be focusing on routinely scheduling. Who should we strike a deal with?

I had read the same article about the Big 10 and ACC. The article stated that both conferences were considering playing more teams within their conference (Division interplay for Big 10) rather than scheduling G5 or FCS. Big 10 has gone one step further to say no FCS games should be scheduled.

We have a bit of a Sugar Daddy with the SEC.

Quite a few of us have managed to schedule 2 for 1's with them.

I wouldn't be surprised if all of the P5's quit scheduling FCS opponents.
And the G5's only scheduled them on the years when they needed to balance out a schedule due to a 2 for 1.

Since Arkansas State announced no more FCS games Friday,
would imagine it is being discussed in Florida at the SBC meeting.

RE: Non conference Scheduling for Sun Belt Members
For Louisiana it would hurt us in a way since we have so many FCS programs that are very close to us. It is an easy way to get that 6th home game and at least two FCS program guarantee us a plus capacity crowd with Southern and McNeese St.

Now if we could get La Tech, Tulane, Southern Miss or Houston on some long term home and home contracts that could offset the money that we bring in when we have 40k in Cajuns Field.
