Bobcat Ballpark Review
Here is a review and some good pictures of Bobcat Ballpark (and TXST campus) from arenafanatic.com. The weather was cold and rainy that day, I wish he would have come on a prettier day but he still gave us a great review.

Wow, looks like a great place to catch a game. Hope I can make it out there one day.

Looks like an awesome ballpark. After seeing most of the SBC parks, I feel like most look like Double A quality. Ours is more Rookie League.

RE: Bobcat Ballpark Review
Texas State has a nice ballpark but needs to expand the seating down the third base line and get a few more train car suits down the first base side. As much as I enjoyed the dog park across the street TXST needs to buy it and build a baseball facility so the players can have a locker room, training room, weight room, and coaches offices/meeting rooms close by instead of walking down the street to Strahan Coliseum. Maybe Paul Goldschmidt will be extra generous when he gets his next contract lol.

Harrington has already said that the space between 3rd base dugout and the batting cages are reserved for a baseball facility...just waiting on an $8 million check.

That's a beautiful ballpark. Thanks for the link.

I'm scratching my head on this one: #16 UTSA Convocation Center-UTSA 15.8/20

He hasn't done a ton of reviews so everything hes rated is ranked.

He said on Bobcatfans that he just moved from TN so a lot of his stuff is from that put of the country and hes starting to dig into Texas.

Don't hold your breath. Goldschmidt went to TXST and went to the majors 6 hrs shy of a degree; that he finished up with Phoenix. Guess what U now has a scholarship he started and is funding? Yeah, it ain't in TX.

In fact, can you name any former Bobcat that made the pros (from any sport) that has given big time money to TXST? I sure can't. Maybe Morris and/or Bartu will; if they continue to play in the NFL.

Seriously? He and his wife played for TXST and he gave an online school a scholarship? That's really disappointing. My guess is they asked him and TXST assumed he would come back knowing how out AD seems to operate.

Yeah. There's a guy, that reports on the Dbacks, that I follow on twitter. I was really disappointed when I read that several months back.,

Honestly:
Charles Austin- wins an Olympic medal, has a very successful business, street on campus named after him. $$$ - nope
(son has no desire to attend TXST, either)
Ricky Sanders - part of the Redskins posse - back in the day. Son went elsewhere, daughter graduated TXST in 2013. $$$ - never heard of any.
Big Fred Evans - not a star but 8 years in the NFL - anything???
He just resigned for 1 mil.
(FWIW - his sister won a bronze medal in bobsled at Sochi)
Jeff Foster - 13 NBA seasons. Came back and got his degree. Had his # retired. Shows up for a lot of events but, big $$$$? Not that I'm aware.
There's a bunch more but these were on the top of my head.

If any of these guys had given big time I would bet we'd have heard about it; one way or another.

I'm annoyed by the scholarship because both he and his wife got a free education thanks to the university. Wish they gave back to the school that gave them everything and not a school that gave him 6 hours.

I won't fully judge him because I feel he may be involved in some way behind the scenes or in the future. Don't know all the facts.

I agree but that it was his, seemingly, first move was what disappointed me most. There may be something ahead but this was his first and that's what "hurts"?
I do doubt an online scholly is not nearly as much as one might be for TXST. And I'll take a big chunk to help improve TXST over that any day of the year.
