Of course all of this means absolutely nothing, but it's funny to hear fans try to discuss it.

Just do not see the Trent Miles hire as being that wonderful for Georgia State
until you look back and see their previous coach only had won one game the
previous three years.
Guess some improvement is better than none, and considering previous records
is really significant..
He did seem to have an improved team by the end of last year also.

To put this more in perspective...

Indiana State hadn't had a winning season since 1996. Miles was just the 2nd ISU coach to win his league COTY award. Ever. They had won 1 game in the previous three seasons and hadn't won a road game since 2004. ISU told Miles either turn the program around or we are shutting it down. He was recognized by Lindys and Athalon as one of the best hires in the country last year.

IMO, miles is at a minimum in the top half of the conference. I know that won't be the perception until he wins some games. But that's just my opinion.

A little off topic, but he actually was inducted into the Mobile Sports Hall of Fame recently.
But I believe it was because of his playing days under the Bear and not because of his coaching.

Mobile loves them some Joey Jones.

Scott has one year of HC experience and that was a losing record against FCS competition. Where else would you rank him? Folks will be somewhat patient once they understand the difference in the level of competition we now face. I don't expect miracles but I do think most want to see some progress over the next several years. I'm positive that Scott can make that happen.

This is the CUSA coaches rankings. With so many former Sun Belt members figured some would be interested in their rankings.

He has made Louisiana enough money to justify that kind of contract. Actually a good deal for the university.
