Especially if the SEC moves to the model where there are no 1-AA games for the SOS. The SEC will always schedule money games with the SBC. What this does is give the possibility of a home-away or away-home-away series for the SBC schools, especially against the lower level SEC schools. Mississippi State, for example already has gone to SBC schools.

Whew! I know the pig fans are relieved! They still have a shot at 4 wins per year!

RE: OT the sec will stay at 8 conference games
Seems like we are going to try to schedule 1 SEC team every year after this year:
2015: Georgia
2016: Mississippi
2017: LSU

That is what we have so far.

They did decide to stay at 8 along with the ACC, but are requiring all SEC teams to schedule also at least one Power Five team starting in 2016.

RE: OT the sec will stay at 8 conference games
Since UGA supposedly moved our every four year game up a year to supposedly prepare for possibly going to 9 SEC games, I wonder if they will be willing to put us back on rotation now?

Or will they dodge us now like I hear Bama and Arkansas doing their in state SBC programs?

I have heard from several people at Ga. Southern that the 2015 game may very well be the last between Georgia and Ga. Southern in football. I hope not but we will see.

This does not suprise me. If you look at it many of the SEC school already play a Power Five team each year on a annual bases such as:

Florida/Florida St
Georgia/Georgia Tech
SC/Clemson

The rest will have no problem scheaduling a Power Five conference school every year and will still beable to have either 7 or 8 home games each and every year if they so desire which still fits in there scheaduling policy that they have been using for years.

If the sec would stop playing FCS teams it would help.Doubt they do it though-like em some easy wins to pad the schedule for bowl eligibility.

Would think SEC and other P-5's would play less FCS teams in the future due to their desires to get
built up rankings and get into the playoffs. Especially if the new pay for play rules make those games
even more lopsided.

Ole Miss, Mississippi State, and Vandy will have the hardest time getting a game every year. Since 1998 neither of the Mississippi schools have played more than 10 non-conference games against power schools.

Not if it is like the first proposal, it was for headcount sports only. FCS football is an equivalency sport.
