Dude, I barely think UCF will start as a top 30 team, let alone ECU. I see no reason to think that ECU.will break the top 25 with their dramatic losses on D and significantly harder SOS this year. 72 is way too low imo, but top 30? When was the last time that even happened?

Don't know where that info comes from but ECU will be stoked this year. Clone will be deep and loaded..7 guys there they all been in the program a while that are all 300 plus and can interchange at nt or end..the best group of lab mere we have ever had...statrting dbacks are as fast and physical as we've had the two deep on the backend are inexperienced but have plenty of talent..Offense will be off the chain. I'm looking for a year like our 91 team

Just how drunk are you when you post? Please look at some of those spelling, grammar errors. Egregious.
That's pretty damn funny,I don't care who you are...sweet SAT word...

If I'm not mistaken SB nation uses a formula that takes stats from like the past 4 years to create their rankings. Explains why Tulsa is listed very high and ECU very low.

Preseason polls usually don't show much love to G5 schools unless your Boise State so I'm not to concerned.

Myerberg's countdown is my favorite. Hopefully a long wait before most AAC teams are previewed.

RE: College Football Countdown Thread:
Screw Athlon's and Lindy's

The BCS put out a final Top 25 poll for 11 years. (Before that, it was Top 15).

On average, 2.6 current G5 schools finished ranked in the Top 25. And the top rank was an average of 11.3 with a median of 10.

Yet you never see 2-3 G5 schools in Lindy's or Athlon's Top 25, and you rarely see a G5 school start out at 10th or 11th. Why? Because they are trying to sell magazines, not make accurate predictions.

So I don't buy their magazines. And I don't put any stock in their predictions.

It will be really interesting to see how G5 schools are treated by the new human playoff committee. Somehow, I doubt 2.6 G5 schools make their Top 25 every year on average. And I doubt the average #1 G5 school is ranked 10th or 11th.
