Actually fit, there's a ton of debate of whether not his comment was racist.

Here's some things I've noticed:

1) The comment in question .. is actually a question.

If he's implying that they were I'd say i'd completely disagree with his comment.

2) He's been getting attacked for using the term "negro". He's what? 80 years old? That's what he grew up using. At least he didn't use the n**G*r term. Would that make it better or worse?

3) He's used the term "Picking cotton".

He used an analogy from the 1800's.. .so it fits his statement. Nothing racist about it.

4) At the end of his video (The UNCUT version), he actually speaks in favor of immigrants coming across the border (doesn't exactly fit in the racist narrative).

5) Do I think Bundy is a racist? Honestly, I think he grew up in the time frame of heavy racism, so I think he is in part.

and just to point it out. I do think Bundy was in the wrong in part during this dispute, but the federal govt went ABOVE and beyond reasonable response/reaction. (and from what I've seen, I don't think he's got all his marbles upstairs....)

By the way. whatever happened, to "I Might disagree with what you say, but I'll defend your right to say it"?

BUt now it's.. "You're a racist, so I'm going to let the overreaching govt. destroy your livelihood"

Funny thing that the idiot we have as Vice President can say in his best black preacher voice conservatives are trying to put blacks back in chains no problem at all....yet when a redneck basically says the same thing in a crude way about the left he is some jack booted racist.

Nobody's discussing his right to say it. The right to say something does not protect anyone from social backlash.

Defending the right means that I'll fight for your right to say it, but after the battle's done I'm going to take you to town over it.

The rancher's comments will get plenty of press because it put white conservatives in a bad light. But the press doesn't seem to want to discuss this:

Pedro’s father said, “To my knowledge, he’s never fired a gun.” This was the good news because he didn’t shoot well enough to kill anyone.

Somewhere along the line Pedro willingly decided that serving his god meant shooting people who are not Muslims. Pedro guessed that White people probably aren’t Muslims so he should shoot them.

You will never hear his name or the other guy’s name again. This just reminds us never to trust the liars in the media.

nomad, that's just it. I'm seeing all sort of people saying they're no longer supporting Bundy's fight against the BLM... It's becoming a "He's a racist, I can't defend him against the BLM". (Go read the last few Glenn Beck articles on Bundy)

Dana Loesch is on the Megyn SHow right now, and she's the first person I"ve heard (besides Megyn) who has pointed out that "cliven bundy had the weakest (although legitimate) claim of all the ranchers in Nevada" in the BLM fight. (True, something I've argued for a whlie) THEN she pointed out that she considered his comments racist.
