Bet Mizzou is offering good $$$...throw in the SEC and ESPN exposure...might be his last chance at a P5 job. (He's 60 now)

For a conference that couldn't manage an at large bid our coaches sure are getting a lot of interest.

RE: Tim Floyd to Mizzou?
I heard it was Pastner

FWIW, according to KVIA.com Twitter- UTEP AD states there has been no contact with Mizzou.
SEC (big conf) money, huh? Just like Tony Barbee? or Billy Gillespie? or Doc Sadler?

Coincidentally, Mizzou is where UTEP's former football coach Stull (now the UTEP AD) left to.... only to get fired.....

Nothing is impossible. But I doubt Floyd leaves for Mizzou. His wife hated the cold Midwest (Iowa St).

Tim Floyd to Mizzou?
We had a scary offseason last year when he was said to have been a candidate for the USC job.

Miner fans will now spend lots of time arguing whether his heart is at UTEP or not.

When he was hired here, many believed he would be like Haskins and decide to spend the rest of his career in El Paso. Who knows! Who knows!

EXACTLY! Ignored during the season and have a laser on us during the coach poaching. Total bs.

Perhaps these SEC schools (and everyone else for that matter) know the real truth, regardless of the highly political NCAA tournament selection process.

Great point. How many AAC schools had their coaches hired away this year?

Tulsa (as Frank Haith/Dave Leitao will coach in the AAC)...

Larry Brown, Kevin Ollie, Mick Cronin, Josh Pastner, Frank Haith, Kelvin Sampson, Fran Dunphy, Jeff Lebo, etc...AAC has some REALLY good coaches.

I guess that is one way of looking at it. I guess another way of looking at it is by asking why are so many coaches trying to leave? Why aren't the A10 and MWC coaches getting hired away?

RE: Tim Floyd to Mizzou?
It will send a strong message if Floyd stays at UTEP. That would make for two CUSA programs with better basketball coaching positions than SEC ones, since UT got their second pick Tyndall (ok, USM, ok) after White at La Tech.

Thank you for leaving Ed Conroy's name off that list. The overt comparison would be too cruel.
