If Troy is bowl eligible, we will go to the Camelia Bowl and we'll sell it out by ourselves..

Louisiana is good, but not that good.

Yes, and Troy should have no problem getting to 6 wins. Easy schedule. We ARE going bowling this year.

You conveniently left out South Alabama. The Jags are most likely going to a bowl if a couple of those you named go. And BTW, who the heck is TSU? Man, y'all are way out of the "footprint".

Are you sure about that Louisiana will have a New Orleans bowl bid before Troy gets 5 wins. I see 4 for sure on your schedule every other victory will be a struggle and you can forget about the last game.

TSU= texas southern university or tarleton state university

That's a relief. I thought the OP was thinking Troy was still Troy State.

I have a feeling that, if we get to 7+ wins, we will end up in one of the Texas Bowls (Armed Forces or Heart of Texas). That's what was going to happen last season.

I think we will have 5 bowling. First of all we have stAte, obviously. The Cajuns should get to 6 wins and go back to NO. I think USA is next in line after those two. Texas State is my pick to finish 4th and go to a bowl. I hope Troy gets back this year but the loss of one of the best QBs in SBC history will hurt. I expect ULM to struggle a little without Browning as well.

I would say UL will be favored in most publications, State will struggle to win more then 7. I haven't looked at schedules, but it would seem Texas State has a number of returning starters including the QB. I'm not as high on USA, because they lost a number of starters on both sides including some very good defensive players.

Troy will play in the bowl up the road if they get 6 wins. I'm sure you haven't even grazed Troy's schedule. If you did you'd see how easy it is to get to six wins, regardless of "that last game." A game you escaped by a hair last season after your fans talked about how hyped your team was. It's not like they didn't bring their A Game. As you guys said, Hudspeth and Co. were pissed about Blakeney's comments about the SBC title running through Troy.

With it being the last game, and at home, Troy has the best chance in years to beat Louisiana. Its foolish to think this game is a gimmie for you.

I won't post my usual four paragraph essay on our QBs, but just remember we haven't had less that top notch QB play since before we installed the spread in 2005. Three of which were as you say, one of the best QBs in SBC history, in Omar Haugabook, Levi Brown, and Corey Robinson.

We have by far the deepest and most (paper) patented group we've ever had, return 8 of 10 O-Line (and added a monster Ole Miss O-Line tranfser who snagged a starting spot in the spring), most of our best WRs (and we added a 3-Star 6'5" JUCO WR, as well as a JUCO All-American WR), all of our running backs, and our OC. We've ran the spread for 8 years with great QB play and it won't stop now, especially by the time our QB plays Louisiana, the toughest SBC team on our schedule.

QBs on Troy's Roster: Dontreal Pruitt, 1st Team JUCO All American. Won NJCAA Title Game in 2013. Set NJCAA record with 610 yards per game. 51 TDs, 7 INTs. Dual Threat, 6 TDs were running TDs. Conner Bravard, played for the #2 JUCO team in 2013. 67-2 record between HS and JUCO. Brandon Silvers, a greyshirt, redshirt freshman, third year removed from HS, same route Corey went, was ESPNs 27th ranked QB. Dallas Tidwell has been Corey's backup and has played very well in mop up duty. We will have no trouble at QB.

He has the C-USA/AAC back up tie in Shreveport going to ULM and Wazzou.
He has C-USA vacating the Heart of Dallas.
He has the run away C-USA favorite Marshall playing the MAC's 4/5 team in Boca Raton.

I think those of us on this board could make a more accurate set of predictions.

RE: Goin' Bowlin'
Now I know this is early......but as Belter's I would like to suggest a pledge by folks here to promote the following idea......Not that it is likely but its possible.....IF ANY....and I mean ANY team would do well enough....such as undefeated to get one of the top bowl spots......(not including the 4 playoff positions....everyone else would have to be quarantined for that to happen...) but would get into one of those rotating bowls.....that we as Belter's would have home made say black shirts made if you went to that bowl to support the little guy with say something like the SunBelt....supporter of _______University.....and try to get to that bowl.....and tailgait a little as Sun Belt supporter of_______......Because what is good for one team this year or next and whenever is good for the whole conference.
Just mentioning it here so maybe if there is any possibility that several here may start coordinating a get together at that bowl......

Troy's schedule is a lot more favorable than I realized. They should get back to a bowl this year.
